My opinion:
Brielle is a young woman with a very bad dating life. She is also in love with her best friend, the last 5 years. She saw an add online about The Gentleman Mentor and she decided to give it a try. After they exchanged a few emails she wasn't sure if she should do it, but she had nothing to lose. A few days later they met, discussed everything and started the lessons. Hale knew from the beginning that this client will mess his life but got involved anyway. After a few lessons Brie realised that she couldn't seperate her feelings from sex but she needed to complete these lessons so she can gain the confidence she was missing. Hale ended this "relationship" sooner because he couldn't pretend anymore. When she found out what he was hiding from her it broke her but also made her stronger.She was now not only independent at her work but in her private life too. Hale realised his mistake and tried to earn her heart. What he didn't know is that he already had that.
It's a beautiful story about a young girl lacking confidence and a man who was broken. I loved how in those few lessons Brie became another person, she finally realised that she deserved better treatment from men. Hale was the classic sexy Dom with commitment issues. The book is only about those two, we don't read much about their life, and the scenes with their friends or family are very limited.
