My opinion:
Sasha now knows that she is promised to Nick, Harper's brother. Now she is with James, she likes him as a person but she doesn't know if she can trust him. James feels the same for her, he knows that the little girl follows someone's orders but he doesn't know whose. No one knows who to trust and that creates a tension. James and Sasha visited her hometown, there they met Merc and then Nick found them. While they were talking a shooting started and James disappeared, Nick took Sasha and left. Part 2: Harper was sent to her dad, The Admiral. Next he sent her with her Promise, Vincent. She heard things from him that made her doubt everything she knew so far. Part 3: Sasha and Merc are trying to save Harper and Nick. Then James appears with a big plan on getting rid of the Company members. Everything goes well until the gang decided to collect what was promised to them. Then the plan changes. One stays behind while the others are free to go and live their life.
This must be one of the most confusing book series i have ever read. You read and try to understand the plot and when you think you do, everything changes again. There aren't many love scenes but there are plenty of fighting scenes, bad guys are getting killed and most good ones are staying alive. Each character has his happy ending.
