Melody Anne's Billionaire Universe: Devoured (Kindle Worlds Novella) by Marian Tee

Scarred and disillusioned by his ex-wife’s betrayal, gorgeous and powerful billionaire Luca Valencia has become even more ruthless in the corporate arena and unapologetically heartless when discarding women who mistakenly think they're the ones to change him.
But for his young daughter, he’s willing to risk marriage for the second time.
However, it would be on his terms, and he decides to take a leaf out of his friend Rafe’s book by hiring a woman carefully screened for his needs.
That woman is Vivian Day, whose innocence makes her a trustworthy companion for his daughter…and whose desperate circumstances would make her unable to afford saying no to his proposition.

                                                                 My opinion:
Luca was a billionaire  single parent who wanted the best for his daughter Eula. His daughter was at an age who asked a lot of questions and she needed a mother, because of his past he decided that hiring a wife/mother was a good idea. One year later he found her. Vivian was a very shy woman, she cleaned the offices in his building. Luca didn't only liked her as a possible mother but as a woman as well, Vivi fell in love from the beginning with him, which made it impossible to refuse the offer he made. The first three months were great until the day that his worst fear made him do a very stupid thing that hurt both of them. Luca realised how much he loved his wife a little too late but he was determined to do anything to see her happy again. So the full bloodied Italian did exactly what his wife wanted in an extreme level of course.

This is the sweetest story, that's close to a fairytale, that i have ever read. There's so much love in any kind, no cheating, awkward little moments and sweet erotic scenes. The feelings i had while reading it were: happiness, anger, sadness and happiness again. We have three main characters: Luca the sexy control freak overprotective billionaire who was previously severely hurt by a woman. Vivian a very innocent sweet and caring young woman who had never felt happiness in her life until she fell in love. Eula an adorable smart kid who looked and acted like her bossy father.

DICK by Scott Hildreth

The day I met Dick I instantly knew four things. One, he was as handsome of a man as I had ever seen. Two, he was filthy rich. Three, he was a dick. And four, he was *ahem* gifted.

In time I learned much more about him.

Things that would have made most women run away.

But I’m not most women. So, instead of running away, I ran in his direction.

Dick didn’t have a place for a woman in his life. He was a bad boy. Not a wannabe bad boy that tried to act the part. Oh no, he was the real deal. Money. Guns. Fast cars. Cops always one step behind him…

On our first date, while in his Ferrari, we got into a high-speed chase with the police.

That was only the beginning.

From there, things only got better.

Or worse.

I guess that depends on who you are, and what you’re afraid of.

Me? I wasn’t afraid of Dick, his manner of living life, or his dickish ways.

I wanted him to be mine.

But, with a man like Dick, things are never easy.

My name’s Jess.

This story’s mine - although I’ll never admit to it in a court of law.

                                                      My opinion:
Jess was a waitress in a shitty bar.
While she was going to work she met a dangerous man, Dick. He was very intimidating but for some strange reason, she was turned on by him. Dick wanted her so he went after her. The more she was talking the more he wanted her, the problem was that he couldn't decide what to do with her. Since their very first date, they started breaking laws together. Jess could acknowledge the danger but she simply didn't care. Dick knew that caring for someone was a big problem in his job but Jess was so different from any other woman he had met. At first, it was just the sex and her smart mouth but before he knew it she meant more to him. She trusted him as much as he trusted her and she was great at everything he asked her to do. They did a successful job together and after that, he earned a skillful crime and life partner.

You might don't realize it at first but this is a modern day robin hood story. It has scenes like those in good action movies. Lot's of kinky sex scenes a couple romantic ones and a few filled with kindness. Dick, who is the robin hood in this story is a complete asshole. He is bossy, rude, dangerous, sexy, he also has a hidden good side. Jess is a mouthy bitch who seemed to be an adrenaline junkie and was attracted by bad boys/criminals. She was also very smart and observant.

Wrong (Wrong #1) by Jana Aston

I have a history of picking the wrong guy. Gay? Player? Momma’s boy? Check, check and check.

Now I can’t stop fantasizing about one of the customers at the coffee shop I work at between classes. It’s just a harmless crush, right? It’s not like I ever see this guy outside of the coffee shop. It’s not like I’m going to see him while attempting to get birth control at the student clinic. While wearing a paper gown. While sitting on an exam table. Because he’s the doctor. Shoot. Me.

But what if, for once, the man I’ve had the dirtiest, most scandalous fantasies about turned out to be everything but wrong?

                                                         My opinion:
Sophie was a college student and worked in a coffee shop. One regular customer had caught her eye, Luke. She knew nothing about him but she had a thing for him, the only problem was that she also had a boyfriend, Mike. She was planning to sleep with Mike for the first time so she needed to go to the clinic for a birth control. There she found out what Luke did for a living. It was the most awkward time of her life. After her grandpa's accident Luke started texting her and looking at her differently. She was angry because she didn't know why he was doing it. Her big night came, Sophie was going to lose her virginity with her boyfriend, at least that was the plan. The result was so much better since a real man made her fantasies come true. It was going to be only for one time but both wanted more. They started dating, their time together was great most of the time. But Sophie had some insecurities since their lives were so differently. Then after a couple of months, her whole life was going to change because plans weren't always successful.

This book is perfect for those who have a doctor fantasy. It's nice, it's written in present and it doesn't have any past references. There are too many sex scenes, the happy moments are 2/3 of the story which is great. Not too much drama, just the right amount to make it interesting. Luke is a true alpha male, very bossy, handsome, successful, caring. Sophie is a practical girl, always planning everything, she is fun, a young innocent hussy for him.

Right ( Wrong #2) by Jana Aston

My childhood was perfect.

I’ve led a charmed life, and I’m not going to blow it now by picking the wrong guy.

I’ve got my sights set on my brother’s best friend.

He’s known my family for years. He’s reliable and kind and handsome.

Sure, he’s been avoiding me since I was six.

I’m a bit aggressive for him, maybe.

But he’s the one… right?

                                                            My opinion:
Everly had a crush on her brother's best friend, Finn, since she was 6 years old. Over the years she was stalking him, finding out what he likes and what not. She is now twenty-two years old and still she hasn't given up on the idea that he is the Right man for her. But one night she met his big brother who was determined to show her that Finn and she will never be together. His actions were confusing her as much as her newfound feelings for him. Sawyer and Everly hit it off quickly, they had great sex and good chemistry. Everly loved the attention she was getting from him, his surprises, she never had a relationship like this one. Then one day everything changed. But Everly wasn't a quitter when she set a goal she achieved it, especially when it was about her happily ever after.

It's such an amusing story. Everly is the craziest female character i have ever read about. Her mind seemed to work very differently from the other people. She had made her life plan based on a crazy idea she had. Even though she was dedicated to it, she also tried to help her friends. Her ways were a bit unorthodox but still she cared enough for them to do it. I think Sawyer had at least half her craziness since he was able to know what she was thinking. He was also fun, caring and at one point realist. I'm not fond of the present/ past alternation but i didn't mind it so much. In general, i  freakin loved this book...

My favorite lines:

“But I’m open to trying whatever your thing is. Unless it’s anal. I’m saving anal for marriage.”
“Saving anal for marriage,” he repeats back to me. “Is that an actual thing?” He’s incredulous.
  “It’s a thing.”
  “I don’t think that’s a thing.”

“Well, I think it’s a thing and it’s my ass.”

Taming Her Wolf by Eve Langlais

Dumped by his girlfriend, Gareth doesn’t think things can get any worse until he’s captured by some vampires. But he’s not about to become an all-you-can-eat-buffet without a fight.

With great age comes boredom, which suits Helen just fine until she goes looking for a blood servant and finds herself intrigued. The wolf she brings home might want to tear her to pieces, but she’s determined to tame him. What she never expected was to have the tables turned and have him capture her heart.

Helen thought she could tame the wolf but instead, despite the taboo nature of their relationship, he taught her how to live again.

                                                                 My opinion:
Gareth broke up with his girlfriend and went out to drink. He was so drunk that he almost blacked out and woke up chained to a dungeon. He tried to escape with no luck. Helen was looking for a new pet, she went to the dungeon to buy one, there she found Gareth. He was a troublemaker but his attitude intrigued her. She decided to buy and tame him. It wasn't going to be an easy task, not only because he was stubborn and strong but because she was attracted to him. Eventually, she fell in love with him and he wanted to make her his. They were happy but her maker managed to ruin it. Helen cared very much for Gareth's safety so she sent him away. Her stubborn wolf wasn't going to listen to her, he was going to protect her from the enemy. They both tried to kill him but he was much stronger and smarter.

The forbidden love between a vampire and a werewolf.

A very fun story with two strong characters. Helen is a very skilled and powerful vampire who is afraid of intimacy. Gareth is an alpha werewolf who couldn't handle being in a pack. From the beginning the attraction between them was strong but none of them wanted to admit or act on that. As the days passed they couldn't deny it anymore. Gareth showed her how it is to be loved and cared for something she had never felt.

RoomHate by Penelope Ward

Sharing a summer house with a hot-as-hell roommate should be a dream come true, right?

Not when it’s Justin…the only person I’d ever loved…who now hates me.

When my grandmother died and left me half of the house on Aquidneck Island, there was a catch: the other half would go to the boy she helped raise.

The same boy who turned into the teenager whose heart I broke years ago.

The same teenager who’s now a man with a hard body and a hardass personality to match.

I hadn’t seen him in years, and now we’re living together because neither one of us is willing to give up the house.

The worst part? He didn’t come alone.

I’d soon realize there’s a thin line between love and hate. I could see through that smug smile. Beneath it all…the boy is still there. So is our connection.

The problem is…now that I can’t have Justin, I’ve never wanted him more.

                                                    My opinion:
Amelia and Jason used to be best friends now they were total strangers. Her grandma left them her summer house so after 9 years they were going to meet again. Their first meeting was awful he was rude to her while she was trying to apologise for everything that had happened. When Jason saw that she still cared about him so much he decided to have a talk with her. They were becoming friends again but the problem was that they still had feelings for each other. A few days before she go back to her town Amelia found out that her future was going to change.
8months later: Amelia came back to the summer house with her infant daughter. Her life wasn't easy at all. For one more time, Justin appeared when she needed him the most. Even though he was now single they still weren't sure if they could be together with the baby and his music career.

It's a very nice and sweet story about two old friends. The book has a very simple storyline, it goes from present to the past and then present again, which helps you understand what's happening.

For the most part of the book I noticed the sexual tension between them, the feelings they had for each other but I couldn't figure out much about their personalities. They were both good and kind people, they cared for each other, they were extremely jealous. My favorite moment was the ending scene.

Stuck-Up Suit by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward

It started out like any other morning on the train.

Until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle.

He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world.

Who did the stuck-up suit think he was…God?

Actually, he looked like a God. That was about it.

When his stop came, he got up suddenly and left. So suddenly, he dropped his phone on the way out.

I might have picked it up.

I might have gone through all of his photos and called some of the numbers.

I might have held onto the mystery man’s phone for days—until I finally conjured up the courage to return it.

When I traipsed my ass across town to his fancy company, he refused to see me.

So, I left the phone on the empty desk outside the arrogant jerk’s office.

I might have also left behind a dirty picture on it first, though.

I didn’t expect him to text back.

I didn’t expect our exchanges to be hot as hell.

I didn’t expect to fall for him—all before we even met.

The two of us couldn’t have been any more different.

Yet, you know what they say about opposites.

When we finally came face to face, we found out opposites sometimes do more than attract—we consumed each other.

Nothing could have prepared me for the ride he took me on.  And I certainly wasn’t prepared for where I’d wind up when the ride was over.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

                                                             My opinion:
Soraya was an assistant to "ask Ida", not something she enjoyed to do but it paid her bills. On her way  there one day she saw an eye candy kind of man. He was a very handsome angry man with a sexy deep raspy voice. When he left the train he forgot his phone which she found a bit later. Soraya decided to take it and find a way to return it. A couple days later she returned it but because of his rude attitude she left a "gift" as well. After that, Graham had regretted not letting her inside his office that day. Two days later he recognised her and kept communicating with her via messages. One morning his jealousy took over and he confronted her, then asked her on a date which she reluctantly agreed. The feelings they had for each other scared both of them, but Graham wasn't going to back down and he wasn't going to let Soraya do it either. Their relationship became serious before neither of them realised it. Then a big secret came out and shook them up. Soraya's family issues made her doubt her choices and almost cost her the only man she ever loved.

Amazing story. It goes from sexy and funny to very romantic. Graham is a man who is so sure of himself, he knows his abilities and uses them. He is a tyrant to everyone except the people who loves. With them, he is sweet and caring. Soraya is a girl who had self-doubt since she was a kid which was ruining her  chances of having a healthy relationship. That was until she met Graham. He had a way of making her feel safe and secure. He was content by being near her, happy just by talking to her. I liked that both Soraya and his grandma were the only women is his life who call things how they saw them and weren't afraid to talk back to him.

I loved every minute of it, it's one of the sweetest stories I have ever read. My favorite part was their interaction through messages, so funny yet oh so sexy.

Cocky Bastard by Penelope Ward, Vi Keeland

He was someone who belonged in my wildest fantasies instead of a rest stop in the middle of Nebraska.

A sexy, cocky, Australian named Chance was the last person I expected to run into on my cross-country drive.

When my car broke down, we made a deal. Next thing I knew, we were traveling together, spending sexually-tense nights in hotels and taking unplanned detours.

My ordinary road trip turned into the adventure of a lifetime. It was all fun and games until things got intense.

I wanted him, but Chance wouldn’t make a move. I thought he wanted me too, but something was holding him back.

I wasn’t supposed to fall for the cocky bastard, especially when I knew we’d be going our separate ways.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

                                                         My opinion:
Aubrey was a lawyer who had dumped her cheating boyfriend and her job, she was moving to Temecula California for a new life. During this trip, she met Chance, her cocky bastard. He was a very sexy guy with a dirty mouth and an Aussie accent. He fixed her car and she took him with her to California. Along their trip, the attraction grew for both of them. They got to know each other had a lot of fun and adopted a pet. At some point, they decided to visit one more place before they go to their final destination. They created a few good memories and then they parted ways. It was hard for both to get over each other, after two years Aubrey was settled in a new life with a new guy. She thought she was happy until the moment he came back. Chance had hurt her a lot in the past, he knew that it would take time and effort to earn her trust back but he loved her a lot and was ready to make her happy.

It's a very sweet funny and sexy story. The two main characters are very different, but as they say, the opposites attracts. Aubrey is a very conservative smart hurt but a very sweet woman who wasn't happy with her life. Chance was a cocky, sexy charming guy whose dream had crushed and he had made some tough choices because of his family. They had an instant attraction that grew to love very fast. The first part of the book was my favourite. I loved when he was messing with her and made her open up and have fun. It was like seeing another person, a more relaxed and carefree.

The Alpha's Ever After - (Werewolf Romance) (Ilie and Soleil Book 2) by Marian Tee

Soleil Orpheline, society’s reigning belle by day and battle-hardened soldier by night, has given the wolf she’s meant to spend her life with an ultimatum.

Fall in love with me, she tells the dangerous, powerful, and gorgeous Marquis of Lunare, if you want me to be your heartkeeper.

But of course, this is easier said than done, especially for a seemingly heartless alpha like Ilie Marcovici. Unbeknownst to the wolf, it’s also a gamble that her life rests on the hinges of: Soleil is cursed, and it’s a ticking time bomb that only heartkeeping can save her from.

Still, Soleil is determined to keep her secret. She’s vowed to herself never to chain a man to her side for all eternity - even if he were a half-demon like Ilie, whose seductive kisses and heated caresses threaten to make her forget her very name – without love.

And so it begins, a race against time…with both hearts and lives at stake.

                                                                        My opinion:
Soleil and her sisters were trying to find the man who set an ambush to kill them. Since it was very dangerous her sisters were trying to convince her to let Ilie help them. For one more time, he saved her just in time. Soleil's new student, Zari, had arrived in Chaly's. When she witness the love between the young girl and her Master and the pain of separation, she realised why her sisters called her hopeless romantic. A few days later Soleil realised that she was falling for Ilie, the same day she found out that her curse was soon going to kill her. So she had to decide if she would accept to be his heart keeper to save her life. She became his only because he granted her wish. Unfortunately, her happiness was short-lived when she found out about Ilie's lie. Would he be able to earn her trust again?

It's a wonderful continuation of the previous book. In this one, there are many proofs of their deep undying love. There is a big betrayal, heartache, death experience and happiness. It has many erotic and funny scenes between the two main characters as well.

Shifters on Fire: The Alpha's Courtship by Marian Tee

                                                        My opinion:
Soleil Orpheline, a stunning, voluptuous, blue-eyed blonde, she was society’s reigning belle during the day and the dangerously skilled leader of Trois Belle Lames at night.
Ilie Marcovici was part-wolf, part-demon, which in turn made the marquis one of the most ruthless creatures of the world.

One night she and her team were in a very bad situation when her plan wasn't working as she wanted her sister asked her to call her heart keeper. Soleil didn't want to but she knew she had to do it for her soldiers. He went to her in the right time to save her. After Ilie found his heart keeper he went to ask permission to marry her and found out a few things about her. Ilie was the exact opposite kind of man that Soleil dreamed of having as a heart keeper. He was too bossy and cocky for her so from the beginning she decided that she wouldn't be his heart keeper. Ilie wasn't a man to take no for an answer, he had his ways to make her agree but Soleil was one step ahead of him.

It's a historical/fiction novel. The whole story is about a half-demon finding his heart keeper and convincing her to marry him. It's pretty simple but very interesting and fun. It has great erotic scenes. My favourites were when Soleil was smart mouthing Ilie. She was a very fearless and determined young lady but she was also quite romantic. He was a very powerful demon/ wolf shifter, cocky , bossy always going against the rules and loving every minute of it.
