John and Rebecca were childhood friends. When she was ten years old she was sold by her parents as a slave to a rich man, Louis. At her fifteen she was sold again to another man, Mr. Sharp. John tried to save her but failed. That night he promised to get revenge and ruin the two monsters. For ten years he worked and trained by the best killer. When he found his first lead about Sharp he knew it was time to get his revenge and the girl back.
It's a well-written action/romance. The storyline is simple and clear, no secrets or twists. It gets emotional at times, the action part is exciting, even though it has a lot of fighting scenes and abusive ones there aren't many gruesome details in them. I loved the characters and the fact that the story was about two strong friends instead of a cute romantic couple. I totally recommend it and I will rate it with 5 stars.
