Review: Catastrophe Queen by Emma Hart

                                                                Description:
One hot mess. One hot boss. One too many hot encounters...

It’s not you. It’s me.
No, seriously. It is me. Not only does my name literally mean “unfortunate,” but that’s the story of my life.

Everything I touch turns to crap. An apartment fire—that I swear I was not responsible for—means I’m living back at home with my sex-mad parents. Yay, me!

Which is why I need my new job as personal assistant to Cameron Reid to get back on my feet. Three months in this job and I can move back out and, hopefully, remember to turn off my flat iron once in a while.

Ahem.

On paper, my job is easy. Make coffee. Book appointments. Keep everything in order.

Until I walk in on my boss, half-naked, wearing nothing but the kind of tiny white towel that dreams are made of.

Now, nothing is easy—except our mutual attraction. But he’s my boss, and you know what they say about mixing work and pleasure: unless you do p*rn, it’s just not worth it.

Or is it?

My opinion:
Mallory Harper due to an unfortunate event was currently living with her parents and was looking for a job. She had an interview for the personal assistant position of Reid Real Estate, and to everyone's surprise, she got the job. From day one she knew that working for the hottie who almost run her over wasn't going to be easy.  Her first week there she managed to show how much of a klutz she was.  Thankfully for her Cameron Reid found her perfect for the job and quite entertaining so he didn't fire her. The attraction between them was growing fast and despite the fact that they were boss/assistant they started dating. It was the first decision that the catastrophe queen had taken and ended up being a good one.

It's the most hilarious rom-com I have ever read. The plot is simple, very entertaining and it's focused on Mallory's accidents and her romantic relationship. It has the weirdest, alcoholic yet funniest characters. It contains funny bickering, smartass lines, and embarrassing accidents. My favorite scene was when Cameron had a face-off with Helen and my favorite character was Mallory's great aunt. If you are looking for a good laugh this is the book for you. I loved it and I will rate it with 5 stars.

My favorite lines:
1)Is that why you haven’t died yet? God isn’t ready for your shit and wants to inflict pain on our innocent souls for a little longer?” I shot back

2)“I do use it. Just not when flying, feathered, little shit-droppers are in front of my car.” He sniffed and leaned back in the armchair. “They got wings. They can use ‘em.”

3)“You think the fact I’m a total klutz is adorable?”
“Yeah, but I also think babies are cute, and they shit and scream, so take that as you will.”

4)“I’m going to choke you on your dentures, Eddie!”
“Good, choke on yours and come to Hell with me!”
