Description:
She left Maplewood Hollow for the big city. Now she's back for Christmas—and everything she ran from is waiting.
Cynthia Higgins has it all figured a career she loves, a promotion within reach, and a life built on her own terms. But when her mother needs help running the family diner after a broken wrist, Cynthia finds herself back in the Vermont town she left behind ten years ago.
The plan is help out, keep her head down, and get back to the city before anyone asks about her love life.
What she doesn't count on is Jack Mitchell—the man she walked away from—still living in Maplewood Hollow, still single, and still looking at her like she never left. Or the town's struggling Christmas festival that needs a marketing expert. Or the way the snow keeps falling, the hot chocolate keeps flowing, and suddenly, New York feels very far away.
As the festival brings the town together and old feelings resurface, Cynthia has to make a the career she's built, or the life she left behind?
Or maybe—just maybe—she doesn't have to choose at all.

My opinion:
Christmas in Maplewood by Fawn Winters is a cozy holiday novella that wraps you in small-town warmth and festive charm.
Cynthia Higgins grew up in Maplewood Hollow, but after college she stayed in New York, where she built a demanding career she truly loved. Just before Christmas, her mother has an accident, and Cynthia decides to work remotely so she can return home and help her. It’s the first time in years she has spent an extended period back in Maplewood. On her very first day, she reconnects with familiar, friendly faces and unexpectedly runs into her high school boyfriend, Jack Mitchell. As Cynthia settles back into town, she begins to realize that something has been missing from her life. But can she really stay in this close-knit community while keeping the career she worked so hard for?
This story is a wonderfully cozy small-town romance. The plot is simple yet captivating, filled with holiday vibes and the warmth of a tight-knit community. It truly felt like stepping into a Hallmark movie. I loved how everyone came together to help with the Christmas festival, even in the cold weather, and how naturally Cynthia fit back in with the people of Maplewood. My favorite moments took place in the bakery and on Christmas morning. The characters were all so sweet and caring, and the town felt more like one big family than just a setting.
If you’re looking for a cozy, clean holiday romance, this one is definitely worth picking up. 🎄📖
