Review: How to Not Kidnap a Biker by Anna Ioannidi

 Description:
Viral trends can ruin lives. Especially when in a moment of delusion, you decide to follow one.

After watching one too many "how to kidnap a biker" tutorials on her favorite social media app, Rachel decides it's a good idea to try one herself. Because what can go wrong, after all? What she isn't counting on is that her target is too eager to participate in his kidnapping.

Bar owner Kai has a little too much time on his hands and an unhinged side drawn to chaos. When Rachel decides to kidnap him, he perceives the act as an invitation to enter the beautiful bookworm's life and make a mess of it. After all, she started it.

My opinion:

ARC Review
How to Not Kidnap a Biker by Anna Ioannidi

Rachel Roberts is a bookworm with a slightly concerning love for social media… the kind that convinces you that yes, you can kidnap a biker if you just follow enough tutorials. So she does. Not her best decision.

Luckily for her, the biker she kidnaps—Kai—doesn’t press charges. Unfortunately (or maybe not), he’s just as unhinged as she is. Kai, who co-owns a sports bar, basically treats the whole situation like an invitation into her life… and never really leaves.

Both Rachel and Kai have their own intimacy issues, but somehow their shared chaos and obsessive energy make them weirdly perfect together.

This might actually be my favorite dark romantic comedy right now. The characters are wildly entertaining, completely unpredictable, and honestly a little unhinged in the most fun way. Starting the story with a kidnapping was such a bold choice, and it worked so well. Their chemistry felt natural despite how insane everything around them was.

Rachel’s inner monologue was probably my favorite part—it added so much humor and personality. The book is full of funny lines, and the focus stays strongly on their relationship and their chaotic dynamic.

If you enjoy kidnapping romance with a dark comedic twist, this one is definitely worth picking up.

I highly recommend it.

My Favorite Lines:

1)It should be common sense that when someone kidnaps you, you respect their home and stay the fuck silent.

2)“Calm down, it’s not like I kidnapped anyone. He was easy to catch,” I argue.

“Catch? Catch?” Noah points at the very happy biker in front of us. “He is not a fucking Pokemon, Rachel!”
