Hard roads by Lily White

                                                               Description:
This life isn’t one that I chose for myself.

Years spent as a daughter in the Dominion MC left me washed up and struggling to breathe. Life was never flowers and sunshine. It was gravel and dust, the trails of dirt left behind when the brothers tore out, floating up from the ground to hover in front of an angry, red sun.

I could never have imagined that a life sitting at rock bottom could get any worse, but it did.

Life is

funny
like that.

Just when you think things can’t get any more bleak, a shade is drawn leaving you staggering and blind – lost in a world of heartache and sorrow.

I met J.D. Brooks on the road and he swept me off my feet. Literally. But not in the way you might think.

He was both an angel and a demon.

He was the most vicious storm that ever darkened my life.

He was also my salvation.

Stripped from the hands that always held me back, I was released into a nightmare that would threaten everything I thought I knew about the crap hand I’d been dealt.

I thought I could never hate a man more than the one who stole me from the life I’d known.

And in our time together, he would teach me one important lesson:

That in the end, it doesn’t matter how our paths intersect, because when it comes down to the basic truth of our lives...

...we’re all stuck traveling down hard roads

                                                              My opinion:
Holly hated the MC life and wanted to be free. She loved her mom but hated her dad.
One day when she was leaving her stupid "boyfriend" someone kidnapped her. But after a while a new biker came and he seemed that he knew her, his name was JD. Holly realised from the beginning that this was club business so she was a bit worried that she was a payment to her dad's debts. JD was going to take her to his MC club, they had to travel for many hours so they would get to know each other more. Holly tried to escape many times but it only brought more troubles and pain to
her. After a few hours he found out that some other clubs wanted to get her too, her life was in serious danger. JD didn't want her to get hurt but he had to deliver her to the next person for his own reasons. The plans changed again and Holly was in big ass trouble. She was in hell, she'd been tortured and raped by freaking monsters, when JD found out he came  back to help her. He found her and had to keep her safe until his friend found her dad. When Holly's anger subsided she found out information about his life. After so many weeks together they started falling for each other. Their love was strong
but her dad wanted JD dead, could they escape and live together forever?

It's a well written book, starting from the past and going to the future but i'm not sure about how i feel for this story. I liked the beginning, then i hated it and i kinda liked the end of it.
It starts like every other biker book but it gets dark after a while (too dark for my taste). It has a couple nice sex scenes but it's mostly rape, beatings and crazy psycho drug dealers. Holly was a very strong woman and she was also a  fighter. JD was too good to be a biker. They had too much in common the most important it was that they both hated the life they born to. I think that was that brought them closer. My favourite part was when they were playing cards.

My favourite lines:
1)Slapping her a few more times, I chuckled again when every cuss word a person could say fell from her lips. Hell, I think she even made a few new ones back there.

2)She wasn’t getting very far and the gentleman in me wanted to help her, but the bastard in me wouldn’t let me make the move.

3)If I wanted this girl screaming, she would be screaming.

4)Saying he had a few screws loose would be an understatement.
In this guy, all of the screws had fallen the fuck out.

5)“I want you to fuck me, JD. I want you to make me feel good.”

6)But most importantly, I would tell any person who will listen that in the end, it doesn’t matter
how our paths intersect, because when it comes down to the basic truth of our lives...
...we’re all stuck traveling down hard roads.
