Description:
ONLY THROUGH BLOOD CAN THE DEEPEST REDEMPTION BE FOUND…
He was born to ascend.
He was destined to lead.
He was never meant to fail.
Prophet Cain lies broken and defeated on the floor of his cell. A cell he has been thrown into by the one person who was supposed to stand by his side until the end. His flesh and blood, his only companion. His beloved twin brother.
Cain has sacrificed everything for his people. He left the safety and security of his life of study to infiltrate the infamous Hades Hangmen. He lived with them, rode with them, and then betrayed them. All in the name of a faith he can now feel slipping away from him. Like everything else he once held dear…
But then his isolation is broken. Another prisoner is brought to the cell next to his. A woman fighting her own demons and fears. A woman who Cain understands needs him, as he needs her.
As the connection between them grows, so does Cain’s resolve. He will right the wrongs he has done. He will atone for the evil acts carried out in his name. He will save the one he loves…
… Even if the battle takes him to the gates of hell itself.
My opinion:
Cain aka Rider 5 years ago had joined the Hade's Hangmen MC for the sole purpose of destroying them. Now he was imprisoned by his own brother in a small cell because he no more believed in their religion. His brother was trying to fulfil the prophecy so he found the new Cursed Sister, Harmony. Rider and Harmony were placed in near cells, they started talking and soon enough they cared deeply for each other. When Rider found out about his brother's plan he knew he had to do something to save the girl he loved and the rest of the good people. You have to go through hell to go to heaven, and that's what he was willing to do. The Hangmen agreed to help under some conditions. Their plan didn't go as planned but they got out safe, now Rider had to pay for what he had done. What no one was expecting was for Harmony to stand by her love's side with such determination. For the first time in her life, she was free, safe and happy, she wasn't allowing anyone to destroy that. Harmony and Rider were going to have their happily ever after just like her sisters.
I knew Rider's story wouldn't disappoint me. An amazing story about the fallen prophet and the last Cursed sister. I loved Harmony's character, she was the strongest of all the sisters, ready to face anyone who wanted to hurt her loved ones. Rider in this book is both weak and strong. He is weak because he lost the only family he had , he was alone and everything he believed in was a horrible lie, so he ended up feeling confused. His strength came from Harmony, the only person who saw his kind soul and wanted to stay by his side, under any circumstances. I love a good happy ending.
