Red and Wolfe (part1-4) by Ella James

                                                           Description:
When Sarah "Red" Ryder loses her job as an art critic for a Boston newspaper, she's brokenhearted. Worse than that? She's broke. Her boyfriend recently left her - for a tatted-up hottie with a dick - so she's stuck paying her hefty apartment rent alone. After two months unemployed, there's no money left. With no immediate family to turn to, Red reaches out to her estranged grandmother, a reclusive writer living on an island off the coast of Charleston. Several days later, Red receives $30,000 and an invitation to visit.

James Wolfe is not Red's grandmother. But he beckons her. Red has the ability to give him something he needs. He won't take "no" for an answer, and he doesn't mind screwing her over. He lost his conscience six years ago, when he was tried for the murder of his wife. Since then, life is about him - and the paintings he does under the mysterious pseudonym "W."

Wolfe needs the island to keep painting. To live his life away from prying eyes. To keep up the anonymity of "W."

Once he sees Red, he finds that he needs her, too. And Wolfe will have her. Any way he can.

                                                               My opinion:

                                                                  Book 1:
Red was working as a writer, she wasn't famous like her estranged grandmother, but she liked her job. She was recently fired from her job and she was in a very difficult situation, she needed money but she was too proud to even ask. So one night in a very drunk state she sent an email to her grandma inviting herself to her island. Red's life was going from bad to worst very fast, she tried to find a job so she could make money for the basic things but there was no hope. Many days later her life was going to change after that email she received.
Wolfe was a famous painter who the last few years isolated himself on an island away from everyone. After his friend's, Trudie's death, he inherited the Rabbit island. But there was a problem with that too so he had to find and talk to Red.

He wasn't expecting her to be so smart and feisty and she definitely didn't expect a "wolf" instead of her grandmother. They both were in desperate situations in their lives so they had to talk and figure out how to move on.

                                                                 Book 2:
Red finally arrived at the island but before she had the chance to check it out, she had a sample of Wolfe's skills. After her incredible orgasms, she had from him, she started questioning everything and was very anxious that she was on an island alone with him. Later that day Wolfe made another proposal to her, one that would satisfy both of them very much. He found the perfect submissive in her and he didn't want to lose her.

                                         Book 3:
Red was excited that she found out who her favorite painter was. She was also scared of his reaction. He freaked out when he realized that she knew one of his secrets. A few hours later Red also found out that he is James Wolfe, a person who supposedly killed his wife, so she decided to run away. He found her, pleasured her and locked her up. He wasn't going to let her go for now.

                                         Book 4:
The people who loved his dead wife finally found him and tried to kill him. Wolfe knew that he had to let Red leave since it wasn't safe for her there anymore. She didn't want to leave him but Wolfe found a way to get her back to the mainland. He told her to forget him and move on. She couldn't live without him so she went back to the island. Unfortunately for them, she was followed by the real killer...

A very modern and kinky version of the fairytale we all know. Very interesting plot since it doesn't only focus on the erotic parts but it shows us glimpse of their whole lives and the murder. The erotic scenes are BDSM related but nothing extreme, Wolfe acts as the Dom and Red is his little submissive. Now if we look deeper it shows that even the people who you know and trust blindly can hurt you a lot. Sometimes a person you recently met can care for you 10 times more that the ones you knew your whole life. And last but not least that when you meet someone you just know that he/she is the perfect match for you, you can realize it from the reaction of your body or your heart's. If you like alpha males and a happily ever after then I strongly recommend this book.
