Would you die for the one you love?
Nixon Abandonato made his choice. And now he has to pay the price. Tracey is the love of his life, but being with him has made her a target of his family's enemies. The only way to keep Trace alive is convince the world she means nothing to him.
Trace Rooks has fallen irrevocably in love with the son of her family's sworn rival, and she knows in her bones nothing can tear them apart. Until Nix suddenly pushes her away and into the arms of his best friend... But Trace isn't ready to give up on a future with Nix--and if he won't fight for them, she will.
In the end, a sacrifice must be made. A life for a life. For what better way to cover a multitude of sins than with the blood of a sinner . . .
My opinion:
After what happened with the De Lange family, Nixon had more problems. He still needed to find who murdered Trace's parents and protect everyone from the Sicilians. When Nixon was targeted he had to make sure that Trace was safe, that's why he pushed her into Chase's arms. One little problem was that Chase was into Trace as well. They didn't have much time to find out the truth and the fact that Luca Nicolosi was breathing down their necks didn't help either. The more Nixon was searching the more lies and betrayal he was finding. He didn't know who to trust anymore, so he made a deal with the devil and hoped to God that his plan wouldn't fail. When everything was right again it was time for him to be with the love of his life.
And the story continues with the love triangle, Nixon/Trace/Chase. They fell deeper in love, in this book. The love scenes in these two books are pretty PG. In addition to the action scenes that get more bloody. The plot is getting more interesting, one by one the secrets are being revealed. We learn more about the characters and we have a few new ones too. We see how the mafia world works and in the end, it's time for the guys to officially take the reins.
