DIRTY, RICH ONE NIGHT STAND.
That's all it was supposed to be. Her. Him. Pleasure. And then a fast goodbye. He's a stranger. And yet, he's not. She knows him even though he doesn’t know her.
He's the powerful attorney, now world-renowned after coming off the trial of a century which was publicized across the country. And I'm one of the reporters that sat in his courtroom.
I watched him, studied him, got to know him from afar which isn't hard since I know his exact brand of confidence, arrogance, and wealth.
I know his type. I've dated his type. Which is why when I happen to come face to face with him, when sparks fly and heat simmers between us, I know what happens if I say "yes" to Reese Summer.
I know he'll taste like sin and sex, even before he kisses me.
I know he'll feel like pleasure and passion, even before he touches me.
I know he'll demand more than I want to give, and yet, because I dare to give myself to him, the result will be deliciously hot.
I know that I will not leave his bed without being utterly, completely sated.
And I know that I will leave the next morning anyway.
And so, I do.
And so, he follows.
And as chase begins my question becomes: Is Reese Summer THE one or is he really just a dirty, arrogant lie that should have stayed a one night stand?

Cat was a reporter and she was going to cover the trial of the century. That morning she met a man inside a cafe who was very rude to her and named him Mr. Arrogant Asshole. Later she found out who he really was, Reese Summers the lead counsel for the defense of that case. There was an attraction between them that both wanted to explore. Cat was reserved because she didn't want to jeopardize her job, Reese, on the other hand, was used to getting what he wanted, and he wanted her. Cat would have been satisfied with a one and done with him, but he wanted so much more. Soon their one-night stand turned into a relationship. The road to their happiness was filled with obstacles, but nothing could have ruined a true love as strong as theirs.
It's an amazing crime/romantic story. The plot was so addictive. I'm not a big fan of lawyer stories but this one was quite different. There wasn't so much drama and it had the right amount of angst to keep things interesting. I liked how well combined it was the romance story with the crime ( i was kept trying to guess who the killer was). Also, the romantic part came like a natural fast-paced relationship, it wasn't like the common unbelievable ones. I liked the characters as well, both strong-willed, smart, and successful. In general, I enjoyed reading a lot, I will rate this with 4,5 stars.
