Review: Prelude (The Interlude Duet) by Auden Dar

                                           Description:
I thought I had it all until he came back.
Julian Caine, my childhood friend, was a short, scrawny thirteen-year-old boy with thick glasses and a mouthful of braces the last time I saw him.
Fourteen years later, he’s no longer an awkward teen.
He’s all man.
A. Beautiful. Staggering. Drop-dead. Gorgeous. Man.
This is more than a fleeting attraction. I’ve spent too many sleepless nights obsessing over him while my fiancé sleeps next to me.
Then Julian makes a proposal I can’t ignore.
One night.
That’s all he’s offering.
If I say yes, will I finally have it all? Or will it be a prelude to disaster?

                                                            My opinion:
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review

Lina was living with her fiance, Andrew. They were high school sweethearts but lately, they have been estranged. One day an old friend contacted her after 14 years. She was so nervous to meet him but when she saw Julian again she was dumbstruck, he had changed from a scrawny kid to a drop dead gorgeous man. Her attraction towards him was growing by the minute to the point she couldn't concentrate anymore. She fantasized him many times while they were together and she knew that she had to get away from there and forget him. Lina was a mess, she tried to move on with her fiance but it was a lost cause so she found the courage to leave him and start anew. Julian was by her side, trying to earn her trust back and help her. On her birthday he couldn't control himself anymore and he gave her the best night of her life...

It's a very romantic steamy story. It has an interesting yet simple storyline that hides a few secrets. I loved the characters, especially Lina's, she represents a huge amount of women who fight for their dreams and are in unfulfilling relationships. My favorite part was when she decided to change her life and be happy again. This book is for the adult crowd and I totally recommend it. I will rate it with 4.5 stars.

PS. My only problem was that it ends with a cliffhanger ( i hate cliffhangers) but also it's quite a clever move because now I need to read the next book as well.

My favorite lines:
1)Get a hold of yourself. He’s like a baby brother.
You are not related to this fine British specimen!

2)Stop thinking about his long, sexy neck.
Oh, my God! Even the vein on the side of his neck is hot.

3)Yeah, stop looking at Julian like he’s a piece of vanilla cake with sweet chocolate frosting. Oh God, I bet he tastes as good.

4)And remember the golden rule: if he doesn’t eat pussy, he shouldn’t get pussy!”
