Review: Interlude (The Interlude Duet #2) by Auden Dar

Heartbreak is my only souvenir.
The morning after the most unforgettable night of my life,
I wake up minus the man and plus one note.
With my head held high, I’m determined to move on without the two men who broke my heart.
My former fiancé who let me go easily without so much as a glance.
And the staggering, gorgeous Englishman who made me scream incoherent words…
All. Night. Long.
When tragic circumstances bring Julian closer than ever, it comes with unyielding passion and
a new proposal… but not the traditional kind, the no-strings attached kind.
Tensions flare.
Life-changing truths are revealed.
New sexual adventures are explored.
But the question remains, will we ever be more than this Interlude?

                                                                   My opinion:
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review

Lina had spent a beautiful night with Julian but in the morning she was all alone and hurt. Thankfully for her, Roger was there to help her get through the rough times. Many days passed but the heartache was still there along with many questions. But everything was momentarily forgotten when she found out about Marcel's health problem. The sexual tension between her and Julian, plus the feelings, were stronger than ever which led them to a temporary agreement. For one month they would be exclusive lovers. She was happy with their relationship but every time she was discovering one of his secrets something was breaking inside her. One day her ex-fiance asked her to go back and marry him and that put her in a dilemma. The man she didn't love wanted to give her a family and the man she loved wouldn't commit. Lina soon would take a decision that would change her life forever.

It's the perfect sequel to the prelude. So romantic with some very emotional and sad moments. It also contains some panty dropping erotic scenes. The plot is captivating. In this book, we learn about Lina's and Julian's past, his well-kept secrets and how their relationship evolves. The way this book is written makes you feel connected to the heroine and feel what she does, which is why I cried many times while reading it. I loved it so much and I have to say that the epilogue surprised me a lot. I will rate it with 5 stars.
