Review: Perfectly Damaged by E.L. Montes

                                                              Description:
Schizoaffective disorder: a mental illness in which a person experiences a combination of mood disorder and schizophrenia symptoms.

know about this illness — very well — because I suffer from it. It’s been four years since my diagnosis, and ever since, I’ve been living in a dark hole. Voices constantly invading my thoughts. Hallucinations. All of which force me to question if what I’m experiencing is even reality. But here I am, still hanging on, still breathing and living through it.

That is, until he stumbled into my life. Logan Reed. I don’t want any part of him. I’ve pushed him away, but he isn’t easily deterred. I’ve told him I’m different, but he doesn’t care. He’s trying to slowly break me down. I’m trying just as hard not to let him. He doesn’t know how truly damaged I am; what will happen when he does? I know the truth — he’ll never be able to look at me the same way again. Just like everybody else.

                                                         My opinion:

Jenna McDaniel was a twenty-one year old who suffered from schizoaffective disorder. Her life was hard, especially after she lost her "rock". The only reason she kept going was her friend Charlie. Then one day Logan came into her life and changed everything. He managed to save her multiple times and ended up being friends. The more time they spent together the more realized that they liked each other. Even though Logan wasn't a man who chased women he made an exception for her because he felt she was different. Soon he wanted more than a simple friendship but that terrified Jenna.  Logan couldn't handle the friend zone anymore and she was forced to tell him the truth. Much to her surprise he didn't run away, he helped her a lot and they finally had a chance in happiness.

It's a very emotional romance with a few dark scenes. The storyline is captivating and quite intense. It has some funny and cute scenes as well. I loved the characters and their stories. They had many similarities: both were judged for something they couldn't control, they didn't care about their current life and didn't want a relationship. My favorite was Charlie, she was funny and caring but mostly awesome. I loved this book from the beginning till the end and I will rate it with 5 stars. Totally recommend it to everyone.
