Description:
It’s the birthday I’ve been expecting…
Turn 27. ✔️
Move back to my hometown. ✔️
Inherit my grandfather’s winery. ✔️
Marry my old high school sweetheart. Wait, what?
We hate each other’s guts.
But I only have thirty days to turn my company around or lose it forever, so I don’t have time to worry about that. Besides, she’s days away from declaring bankruptcy, and merging with me is her last chance.
There’s a big problem, though—only one winery can survive.
Before we even entertain a little game of survival of the fittest, I have to put a ring on her finger.
Easy.
Right?
Not so much.
Paris Elizabeth Hollis Fairchild isn’t interested in my plan, and it really pisses me off.
Apparently, she doesn't know me as well as she thinks.
Doesn't understand I've changed.
Doesn't realize her rejection only spurs me on.
Proving her wrong becomes my mission, a mission I won’t fail.
There’s a thin line between love and hate…and she’s about to find out just how fine it is.
Paris was my first
And I'm going to make sure I'm her last.
Just wait and see.
My opinion:
Tyler Justin Ryan Holiday III was Northern California’s most eligible bachelor. He wasn't a relationship kinda guy and definitely not one for marriage. Imagine his surprise when he found out that in order to save his family business, he had to marry his sworn enemy, Paris Elizabeth Hollis Fairchild. Both California Jane and Highway 128 were close to bankruptcy and the only way to save them was a merger. Tyler and Paris had a past they were both trying to forget, but being close to each other again caused some memories to resurface. The undeniable attraction was still strong and this time he wasn't going to let her go. Tyler was ready to do anything in his power to convince her that this marriage was the best way to save their businesses and also to earn her heart.

It's a fun and sexy romance with a few emotional scenes. It's a well-written story, it has a nice plot development and a great choice of characters. It's mostly focused on the present, the merger, and their attraction but we learn a few things about their past as well. I loved Tyler's dominance and his kind gestures toward Paris. My favorite part was at the wedding. I enjoyed it a lot and I can't wait to read the next book. I will rate it with 4,5 stars.
