Review: Irresistibly Strong (Brothers in Revenge #7) by Victoria Pinder

                                                                 Description:
Opposites don’t just attract – they definitely feud and collide.

Jake Bentley is good at reading people and can negotiate anything and anyone to get what he wants. However the one that proves the most confusing is his temporary wife.

Eva Cooper was hired and needs to get the proof that Jake and his family mismanage the family’s oil company and assets. Technically she’s spying on her husband, but when she agreed to do this, he thought he was a bad boy criminal, not framed for a crime he didn’t commit.

But the clock is ticking. Jake saved her sister, earning her trust, but it’s only a matter of time she loses custody to their step-mother. The paycheck from Kirno, the corporation out to take the Bentley’s profits, is enough to give Eva leverage.

Spying and gas-lighting Jake was supposed to be easy. However as she’s drawn into life and starts falling in love, she’s unsure where the sex, lies and fireworks between them grow more explosive just how happily-ever-after might even be possible.

                                                                   My opinion:
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review

Jake Bentley was married to Eva Cooper and he was a father figure for her teenage sister Emily. He was very scared when the young girl was kidnapped and when this was over he was happy to know that one of their enemies was dead. They were one step closer at solving this problem and he thought
it was time to have a conversation with Eva about being a real family. Eva felt the same way so she told him the whole truth about her. She knew that he wouldn't be able to trust her and she offered to help catch Natasha. They slowly started forming a plan and at the same time exploring each other bodies. Everything seemed to going well until Natasha tricked Jake which led him to lose any trust he had in Eva. The last one realized that the love was one sided and decided to take matters to her own hands. A dangerous move that took out one more enemy and led them to happiness.

Irresistibly strong is the seventh book of Brothers in Revenge. It's a romance with action and mystery elements. The plot is good, half about the relationship between Jake and Eva and the half about destroying their enemies. The balance in this one is tipped towards the romantic part since it doesn't contain much danger as the previous one. There is not much build upon the characters or the relationship because is focused on the sexual tension and it gives little information about their past.
It's mostly entertaining except for Jake's constant reluctance to trust Eva, I think it dragged too much. It was a nice read and I will rate it with 3,5 stars.
