Description:
It was a deal made in the boardroom and sealed in the bedroom.
It all seems so simple: pretend to be his fianceé, his company share prices stabilize, and everyone wins. It’s all just for show.
So why does he keep kissing me? And why do I let him? Grant Devlin is the bane of my existence — not the man of my dreams. But now the lines are getting blurred, and between the kissing and the champagne (and did I mention the kissing?) I’m getting way too comfortable as the future Mrs Devlin.
Something’s got to give, and it better not be my self-control…
My opinion:
Lacey was a girl who at one point of her life had dreamed her perfect wedding, but she could have never imagined the current scenario. After saying yes to Grant's proposal, she realized what a stupid idea this was. She needed to get out of this or at least find a way to make it work with a minimum damage. She decided to go through this but she put some rules. As the days passed she got to know Grant a little better and she was impressed by his real self and his intentions. After their party, a scandal broke out and they had to speep up the wedding. Unfortunately, Lacey wasn't ready for the feelings she developed towards him, and with all the pressure she fled.
Description:
Last week I was in the penthouse with a sexy Australian billionaire. Now I’m back to Netflix Friday nigths and leftover takeout. And it’s all my fault.
I’m the one who left the high life behind, and all because I couldn’t bring myself to go through with a sham marriage to my sexy boss Grant Devlin — because I went and fell in love with him for real.
I know, stupid.
Now he won’t talk to me, my job is hanging by a thread, and oh yeah, an evil plot to take over Devlin Media Corp means all my hard work could be for nothing. If we’re going to save the company, I need Grant’s help.
Help that doesn’t include hot sex in the copy room.
Wish me luck.
My opinion:
Lacey thought that she did the right thing by leaving Grant but she was feeling so guilty. After a few weeks it was time she faced the music and it was worst than she expected. Everyone was gossiping her and Grant was showing so much hatred towards her. She realized that she lost him for good, but she would do anything to save the company. So when she found out that someone was planning a hostile takeover she ran to Grant and hoped that he'd listened to her. They joined forces and
saved both the company and their relationship.
Billionaire Bargain 2 and 3 are the last two books of this series. The second is focused on their relationship and the third on saving the company and revealing their true feelings. Still written from Lacey's pov, the plot has a gradual development and has enough erotic scenes. In these two there are more emotions, huge changes, a little bit of drama and more background information about Grant. They have their hilarrious moments and Lacey's weird monologues. I loved this
series, perfect for happy and hot moments. I recommend them and i will rate them with 5 stars.
My favorite lines:
1)Fuck those guys,” I said eloquently.
“I’d rather fuck you,” he said bluntly, and my entire body lit up like a volcano, magma pulsing through my veins as I swooned towards him, melting.
2)But the genetically modified shape shifter currently wearing Portia’s skin just smiled sympathetically—an actual smile! It stretched the length of
her lips and everything!—
3)“So you dragged me out to, what, watch the building to make sure it doesn’t walk away?” Kate said with a raised eyebrow.
