Review: Rascal (Rascals #1) by Katie McCoy

                                                                     Description:
He’s keeping me up all night long…

Emerson Hayes is sexy, arrogant, and has abs that would put a Hemsworth to shame. He’s also opening a bar with his buddies right below my apartment. Goodbye, peace and quiet, hello sleepless nights fantasizing about my hot new landlord…

But when my stuffy workplace makes it clear I need a plus-one for our events, I have the perfect way to even the score. Emerson is A+ arm-candy… as long as I can resist taking a bite. Our arrangement is supposed to be just for show, but Emerson is like that fifth shot of tequila: tempting, intoxicating, and liable to leave me flat on my back with my panties around my ankles, begging for more.

Maybe I should stay for just one more round…

                                                                My opinion:
Alex was a junior associate at one of the best law firms in Chicago. There was an open position there that she desperately wanted it, so she had to work
a lot more and that left her with no social life. The peace and quiet she needed were going to vanish with the bar that was going to open in her building.
One of the owners was Emerson the man she met at the drug store and had a make-out session at an ATM vestibule. Neither of them had time for a love life but they managed to have friendly conversations now and then. When Alex needed a plus one for a dinner party Emerson gladly helped her. After that night they
became more intimate. Everything was going great until Emerson's dad got involved. Thankfully for both of them, Alex had a big heart and knew how to forgive.

Kelsey gave me a look. “Since when is tall, dark, and handsome not your type? He’s gorgeous—he’s everyone’s type!”

It's a super cute read without much drama and with hilarious moments. The writing is good, it has a dual POV, the plot is very funny and sweet. The characters
were nice as well, with common characteristics. Both were sweet with good hearts and driven to prove themselves.  I loved their interactions, especially their
first meeting. The secondary characters were interesting too, my favorite was Kelsey. All in all, Rascal is a light fun read perfect for a relaxing afternoon.
I liked it and I will rate it with 4 stars.
