Lady Penelope Wakefield was forced into a marriage with the Earl of Findon, a much older man. She couldn't accept this fate and created an escape plan. Everything was going well until she realized that she was conned by a friendly person and almost ended up kidnapped. Luckily the rector of St Giles, Hugh Tarleton, was walking by and came to her rescue. He kept her safe for the night and returned her home the next morning. After the night they spent together he couldn't forget her and when he found out about her situation he had to help her again. This time he planned to keep her safe and happy forever.
This is the last book of the Wicked Dukes Club. A beautiful historical romance about a Lady and a rector. It has a lovely plot filled with emotional and tempting moments. The characters are great, both of them nice, kind and helpful. The writing is excellent. It's a delightful book that i highly recommend. I will rate it with 5 stars.
