Review: Tangle (Dogwood Lane #2) by Adriana Locke

                                                                  Description:
Sparks fly between a die-hard romantic and a sexy cynic in this fresh, funny romance from USA Today bestselling author Adriana Locke.

That cream-filled, caramel-topped doughnut should have been hers. Still, Haley Raynor can’t deny that the pastry thief with the dreamy blue eyes looks even more delicious. But moving in on a handsome devil like Trevor Kelly is bad news for a die-hard romantic like Haley. Trevor doesn’t believe in love. She does. Giving in to a fling and Trevor’s irresistible charms can’t end well. Can it? What can it hurt to give it a shot?

Girls always fall for Trevor, and in the end, he always ends up looking like a bad-boy cad. Still, spending some time with Haley and her smart-talking, kissable mouth sounds pretty perfect. Besides, he’s only going to be in Dogwood Lane for one week. How much trouble could they possibly get into?

The only answer? A “no falling in love” contract. All Trevor and Haley have to do is follow the rules and resist the attraction sizzling between them…before their hearts get completely tangled up in temptation.

                                                              My opinion:
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review

Haley Raynor a hopeless romantic + Trevor Kelly a sworn bachelor = a disaster or happiness?

Haley Raynor had a bad habit of choosing the wrong men who in the end were breaking her heart. Trevor Kelly was a commitment-phobe who accidentally was leading women on. A chance meeting at a cafe changed their mundane days. There was an instant attraction between them and many friendly banters. Based on their history they knew they couldn't be anything more than acquaintances so they made a pact to avoid any bad situations. It worked for a while but Trevor couldn't resist her anymore. They had the best night of their lives in Nashville but soon the time came where they would have to go back to their routines. Would their relationship change after that? Did they want to? Read to find out.

It's one of the best contemporary romance of 2019. It's a book that you can't put down easily. It has amazing realistic characters with an addicting plot. The story is told by a Dual Pov and the progression of it has a steady pace. The detailing is great and makes you think that you are there living everything first hand. Their smart lines and their funny banters were my favorite parts. I was impressed by Haley's character she was so feisty and independent but so vulnerable at the same time. I loved reading it and I highly recommend it. A MUST read for the summer. I will rate it with 5 bright stars!!!

P.S. After reading this I realized that I need friends like Haley and Claire, a man like Trevor and a freaking doughnut.

My favorite lines:
1)I glare at my friend. "You can't give that to him because he's cute, Claire."
"Hey now", he interupts with a furrowed brow. "I'm not sure I like 'cute'. Ruggedly handsome? Roguishly attractive, maybe?"
  "Thief?" I offer.

2)"Hold up," he says.
"Hush, Doughnut Thief," I say, shushing him with a wave of my hand.

3)"You dated a hippie?" the man asks. "That's surprising."
I glare at him. "Want to know what's surprising? I've managed to act like a lady and haven't taken that doughunt right off your plate. That's surprising."

4)"This is Dogwood Lane, you know. Nothing bad happens here."
" You just jinxed the whole town, Haley. Good work."

5) Claire sits beside me. "Now is the time I have to do the one thing I really don't love doing."
  "You're going to exercise?"
"Lord ,no," she says ,clutching her chest. "Don't scare me like that."
