Review: Breaking the Doctor by Victoria Pinder

                                                              Description:

The doctor can save her…and her sister…but first he needs a favor.
When Dr. Reza Pavalti’s sister dies, he’s deterred to adopt her baby and be the best stand in father to his niece. But US politics are standing are in his way. Reza’s a permanent resident and his sister’s baby is a US citizen…which means his green card is giving him trouble with the adoption.
His only hope? Find someone to marry him. Fast.
A fake wedding could risk his citizenship and his license to practice medicine, but it’s a risk he’s willing to take.
Patti Davies intended to pursue her music career when a car accident stole her parents’ lives, leaving her in charge of her little sister. When her sister becomes ill, taking the last bit of Patti’s savings to create a demo to be used on healthcare costs, any hope of a future of her own disappears…replaced with the fear of losing her sister forever.
In a twist of fate, Patti’s life crosses with Reza’s, and together they determine to team up to get what they both need. A fake marriage would provide Reza with the citizenship status needed to adopt his niece, and provide Patti’s little sister with medical coverage.
The only thing standing in their way? Difficulty navigating the cultural differences. But that’s okay. The marriage is only meant to be temporary…until they realize they’re both in over their heads.
With the law, and with their hearts.

                                       My opinion:
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review

It's a sweet doctor romance and describes Patti and Reza's, interacial love. The storyline is simple and easy to follow with a few twists towards the end. Even though there was an instant attraction their romance had a slow build-up. I liked how Reza's culture was slowly introduced. The characters, in general, were nice but as the story progressed Patti became quite annoying. I was surprised by the little girls acting like adults. It's a mellow novel more focused on the family part and Patti's issues. It is a nice book perfect for all readers since it doesn't contain and adult scenes and I will rate it with 3.8 stars.

Patti Davies' parents had died six months ago leaving her in charge of her six-year-old sister. When Rose got sick they were broke and Patti was in despair. Doctor Reza Moradi had recently lost his sister and was trying to gain full custody of his four-year-old niece Sara. Reza and Patti met at the hospital since he was Rose's doctor. The instant attraction they both felt led them to spend time together and getting to know each other. Their problematic situations gave Reza an idea that could benefit both of them: a marriage of convenience. At first, their marriage was like a fairytale but soon Patti's fears almost ruined everything. Thankfully for them, the little girls were far smarter than them and united their family.
