Review: The Edge of Forever by Graham Cox

                                                                 Description:
Blake Brown has made many mistakes in his life and when Marci Watkins turns up, he is about to make another. But when he’s given another chance at love, will he take it? Or will he let her slip through his fingers again?

                                                                My opinion:

The Edge of Forever is a story about the second chance the main characters got to live and fall in love. The introduction to this book seemed a little bit weird for a love story since I was expecting a cute and fun romance. Let's start by the plot: it was nice, at least 80% of it was focused on Blake's
life and relationships, and the 20% on the medical experiment. It is a well-written book with great details and seemed that the author had done good research on the medical field. The characters were relatable but kind of indifferent. There were times when the romantic aspect was blooming and i found myself hooked but unfortunately that didn't last long. Though I liked the surprising twist towards the middle, I didn't see that coming.

The problem I have with this book is that it is too realistic and kinda sad, talking about illnesses or wallowing in self-pity thinking about missed opportunities.
These types of stories aren't to my liking so I can't say that I enjoyed it. I will rate it with 3/5 stars.

PS: This was presented to me as a Valentine's story and I think it's way too heavy to be in that category.
