Review: Cupid is a Liar by Lexi Davis

 Description:
I thought the worst thing that could happen on Valentine’s Day was getting stood up.

I was wrong.

When my date ghosts me and I decide to confront him, I don’t expect the night to spiral. I don’t expect danger and I definitely don’t expect the quiet, intense man from down the hall to step in and change everything.

Damian Salvanti is calm under pressure.

Terrifyingly observant.
And far too willing to put himself between me and the world.

The more time I spend with him, the more unsettling the truth becomes.

He knows me.
My routines.
My fears.
The things I want but never say out loud.

Because Damian hasn’t just been watching out for me.

He’s been watching me…

My opinion:

ARC Review

Cupid Is a Liar by Lexi Davis is a short, spicy stalker romance that delivers tension, danger, and unexpected tenderness in a compact, bingeable read.

Hannah Johnson lives alone with her cat and thrives on routine. After giving up on romance, she finally decides to put herself out there again and plans a Valentine’s Day date with a man she meets on a dating app. She’s hopeful and excited, until he stands her up. Hurt and angry, Hannah heads out looking for a little revenge.

What she doesn’t know is that her neighbor, Damian, has been watching her closely. When things take a dangerous turn, Damian steps in, and the night spirals into something straight out of an action movie. Protective, gentle, and disturbingly charming, Damian says all the right things. But can Hannah forgive the fact that he’s been stalking her and allow herself to feel safe with him?

This is a short and fun stalker romance that’s easy to follow and tightly focused on the two main characters. Their connection develops naturally through shared danger, and the emotional payoff at the end is surprisingly sweet. The ending is beautiful, romantic, and very satisfying.

Perfect for Valentine’s Day or as a lighter read after something intense, Cupid Is a Liar is a great pick for dark romance readers who enjoy protective antiheroes and fast-paced storytelling. I highly recommend it.
