Review: The Demolition Billionaire by Victoria Pinder

 Description:
He came to bulldoze my neighborhood. I came to ruin his life.

I am the only thing standing between Overtown and a wrecking ball. My job is find code violations and stop greedy developers from erasing my community. But Damien Kade isn’t just a developer. He’s a force of nature.

He’s the Demolition Billionaire. Arrogant, gorgeous, and used to getting exactly what he wants. When I blocked his project, he didn’t sue me. He bought my building. He paid my mother’s medical bills. He hired me to inspect his own sites.

He thinks he can buy my silence with a salary and a safety net. He thinks he can seduce me into submission. But I know his secrets. I know what he’s hiding in the foundation. I just have to decide if I’m going to expose him... or fall for the enemy.

My opinion:

ARC Review

The Demolition Billionaire by Victoria Pinder is the third book in The Five series and delivers a fast-paced blend of romance and suspense.

This installment follows billionaire Damien Kade and Marisol Vega, the Director of the Overtown Community Alliance. Damien previously helped Mari when dangerous people threatened to destroy her life, forcing her into witness protection for a time. Determined to reclaim her independence, Mari eventually returns to her old life. When Damien purchases property near her home, she immediately pushes back, ready to fight him at every turn. Instead of backing off, Damien finds himself both impressed by her strength and deeply attracted to her.

As another company attempts to sabotage Damien’s plans, Mari once again steps into the line of fire to protect her community. This time, however, she is left vulnerable and exposed to the same dangerous forces from her past. Damien offers his protection, but Mari’s stubborn independence makes it difficult for her to accept help. That doesn’t stop him from standing by her side. The question is whether they can overcome their personal struggles and admit their feelings before it’s too late.

This is a romantic suspense packed with action, tension, and chemistry. The story features beloved tropes such as opposites attract, forced proximity, and a strong, capable heroine. The pacing is quick, with constant movement and no dull moments. Damien and Mari’s chemistry is undeniable, and the high-stakes danger scenes were easily my favorite parts of the book.

Although it’s part of a series, The Demolition Billionaire works perfectly as a standalone.

If you enjoy romantic suspense with plenty of action and a touch of heat, this book is definitely worth picking up 📖🔥
