Review: Massimo by T. Priceton

 Description:
I don’t just need a wife ... I need her.

My father has decided it’s time for me to take my place at the head of the family. But, besides blood, the firm prerequisite for this job is a bride. I’ve been given a list of potential wives, but it’s missing one name—the only name I’m interested in.

Sure, Liana DiMaggio wants nothing to do with me—or the life I live—but the way I see it, all I need is the right ... leverage, to begin our negotiations. Soon she’ll have no choice but to accept that I can take care of her like no other.

Besides, Liana’s soul matches mine for a reason. Even if neither of us know it yet.

My opinion:

ARC Review

Massimo by T. Priceton is the first book in The Bonetti Crime Family series.

Massimo and Liana first met six years ago during a masquerade party in college, a night that stayed with Massimo ever since. For years, he has been quietly obsessed with her, certain that one day she would be his. That day is finally approaching. In order to take over the family business, Massimo needs a bride. Liana, on the other hand, needs help solving a personal problem involving a close friend. Massimo proposes a deal: marriage in exchange for his help.

Liana is furious and deeply resistant. She never wanted anything to do with a man from his world. Still, she eventually gives in, unaware that Massimo is determined to prove that this marriage is the best decision she has ever made.

This book features a forced mafia marriage, a touch-her-and-die hero, a strong FMC, and a virgin heroine. The story is told in dual POV, with much of the tension coming from Liana’s resistance to accepting Massimo and the life he represents. Their relationship develops slowly, leading to moments of genuine connection. The ending delivers some major revelations that I truly did not see coming.

There are a few spicy scenes, balanced with sweet gestures from Massimo. My favorite moment was definitely the adult shop scene, which added a fun and unexpected twist.

Overall, this is a highly entertaining mafia romance for fans of the genre.
