Review: The Protocol Billionaire by Victoria Pinder

 Description:
It was supposed to be a contract. It turned into a marriage.

I’m a data analyst. I look for patterns. So when I found a kill code hidden in a medical device update, I pulled the plug and saved twelve lives. I also cost Elias Vale millions of dollars.

He’s the Protocol Billionaire. A genius who sees emotions as inefficiencies. Instead of firing me, he made me an Marry him. Become his fake wife to stabilize the company stock and protect me from the people trying to silence me.

It was supposed to be a business arrangement. No emotions. No touching. Just a ring and a bodyguard detail. But Elias broke his own protocol. He touches me like I’m precious. He looks at me like I’m the only variable that matters. And now, the fake marriage feels terrifyingly real.

My opinion:

ARC Review: The Protocol Billionaire by Victoria Pinder

The Protocol Billionaire by Victoria Pinder is the fourth installment in The Five series and delivers a high-stakes blend of romance and suspense.

Nadia Chen works as a research coordinator at Mercy Hospital when she uncovers a critical error that could have fatal consequences for several patients. Acting quickly, she fixes the issue herself. Her actions catch the attention of billionaire tech CEO Elias Vale, who transfers her to Vale Biotech headquarters as Director of Internal Compliance. Someone inside the company is attempting to weaponize his technology, and Nadia may be the only one capable of uncovering the truth.

Almost immediately, threats begin to surface. As danger closes in, Nadia and Elias are forced to work together and stay one step ahead of an enemy determined to destroy everything, including them.

This is a fast-paced romantic suspense filled with constant movement and tension. The adrenaline stays high thanks to the ever-present danger, while the romance simmers in the background. Tropes include instant attraction, forced proximity, and opposites attract. There are a few intimate scenes, but the main focus remains on unraveling the conspiracy and stopping the looming disaster.

I really liked Nadia as a heroine. She never backs down, charging straight into danger without hesitation. My favorite part of the book was their escape scene, which was intense and gripping.

If you enjoy romantic suspense with strong characters, corporate intrigue, and nonstop action, this book is definitely worth a chance.
