Review: The Blacklist Billionaire by Victoria Pinder

 Description:
I have the evidence to destroy the city. He has the power to destroy me.

I am a fixer. I hold the keys to every closet in Miami. I have a hard drive filled with the dirt that runs this town, and now, everyone wants me dead. I had nowhere left to run, so I ran to him.

Theo Marlowe. The man who controls the news cycle. He’s the only person powerful enough to hide me, but his protection comes with a price. He doesn’t want my money. He wants my submission.

He locked me in his server farm. He stripped away my defenses. He tested my loyalty until I broke. I thought I was using him to survive, but Theo turned the tables. He’s not just guarding my secrets anymore. He’s guarding my heart—and he might be the only one who can keep it beating.

My opinion:

ARC Review

The Blacklist Billionaire by Victoria Pinder is the fifth book in The Five series.

Jane Kensington works as a problem solver for the Sterling Group. When she suddenly becomes a problem for them instead, she turns to Theo Marlowe, the most dangerous man in Miami, to strike a deal. Known as the Eraser, Theo is powerful, untouchable, and feared by many. Intrigued by Jane and her situation, he agrees to help her. However, Theo makes it clear from the start that if she accepts his protection, she will belong to him.

Their attraction is immediate, intense, and dangerous. As their connection deepens, the line between business and something far more personal begins to blur. At the same time, the threats surrounding them grow stronger each day. Jane soon finds herself caught in a dangerous chase where survival is never guaranteed. The question becomes whether she can survive the enemies closing in and whether she is willing to live the kind of life Theo demands.

This is a fast-paced romantic suspense filled with popular tropes such as billionaire romance, close proximity, and the classic touch her and die protector dynamic. The story is told through dual POV, giving insight into both characters while balancing the developing romance with the ongoing hunt for their enemies. Although it is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone.

Jane and Theo make an interesting pair. Both are used to solving problems and operating in dangerous worlds, although Jane briefly finds herself in a damsel-in-distress situation before reclaiming her strength and becoming Theo’s equal again. Their chemistry is strong, and their intimate scenes are well written. One of my favorite moments was seeing Theo’s fierce protectiveness when Jane was in danger.

If you enjoy romantic suspense with powerful heroes, danger, and intense chemistry, this book is definitely worth checking out.
