ARC Review
A Song for Us by Krista Swanson is the second book in The Billionaire Brothers of NY duology.
This story follows the younger brother, Chase Parker, and Maryellen McEntyre, his brother’s assistant. They’ve shared a past, and while Maryellen has been trying to move on, Chase hasn’t stopped looking for a way back to her. This time, though, he feels different. More mature, more certain, and ready to prove that what he feels is real. But with Maryellen keeping a secret, things aren’t exactly simple. Can he convince her to take a chance on them, or will her past get in the way of something truly special?
This is such a wonderful romance between two complete opposites. She’s the rule follower, always careful and grounded, while he’s the charming playboy everyone gravitates toward. There’s a subtle forbidden element since she works for his brother and eventually for him as well, plus that close proximity tension that always adds to the story.
I really enjoyed how Chase fell hard and didn’t hold back. His gestures were sweet, his feelings felt genuine, and he truly put in the effort to win her over. The secret caught me completely off guard, but I loved how it was handled with care and understanding. And yes… the chemistry between them? Definitely there. Their intimate scenes were🔥
The secondary characters added a lot to the story, and my favorite moment has to be their conversation about the future. It felt honest and meaningful, and really tied everything together.
Overall, it’s a sweet and spicy romance that I highly recommend.
