Review: Scoops of Love by H.K. Brown

 Description:
Julia Chester has found her sweet spot in life—running Momma Scoops, the charming vintage ice cream parlor that’s become the heart of sleepy Wagon Springs, Oklahoma. But when her estranged father reappears, he brings a storm of emotions . . . and danger.

But when a devastating loss hits, the town’s ruggedly handsome new undersheriff, Colton, catches Julia when she falls. His protective instincts and tender touch begin to heal wounds she thought would never close.

Then ruthless crime boss Sloan closes in, threatening her sister, so Julia must make an impossible choice: trust the father who abandoned her, surrender to the protection of the man whose kisses leave her breathless, or face the crime boss alone.

My opinion:
ARC Review

Scoops of Love by H.K. Brown is a heartwarming small-town romance filled with sweet moments, family bonds, and a touch of suspense.

Julia Chester is the proud owner of Momma Scoops, an ice cream shop in Wagon Springs. She shares her grandmother's house with her sister and is doing her best to keep life moving forward despite her grandmother's declining health. Things become even more complicated when her estranged father suddenly returns to town. Fearing the trouble he may bring, Julia considers reaching out to the town's new undersheriff, Colton. As feelings begin to grow between them, Julia finds herself torn between protecting her family and risking her chance at love.

This is a charming and emotional short romance featuring an insta-love trope, a cozy small-town setting, and plenty of suspense. While the storyline is simple, it delivers heartfelt moments and several tense situations that keep the pages turning. The clean romance is incredibly sweet, and I loved how naturally Julia and Colton connected, especially while facing difficult circumstances together.

One of my favorite scenes was when they played the game, which added a fun and memorable touch to their growing relationship. The balance between romance and suspense works wonderfully, creating a story that is both engaging and uplifting.

I highly recommend Scoops of Love to readers who enjoy clean romances, small-town settings, and heartwarming stories with a little danger mixed in.
