ARC Review
Halloween Town by Joss Wood is the second book in the Halloween Town series.
Poppy McMaster is about to marry Benji Sheffield, but on her wedding day, she's plagued by doubts about whether she's making the right choice. When two ghosts appear in her bathroom mirror and give her the push she needs, Poppy flees to the one place where she has always felt safe: Solstice Deep.
There, she reconnects with Thom Sheffield, a man from her past who was once her greatest source of comfort and support. As they spend time together, old memories resurface, along with feelings neither of them ever truly left behind. While rediscovering herself and the life she truly wants, Poppy finds herself drawn closer to Thom. But can two people with unresolved history overcome their past and build a future together?
Halloween Town is a delightful cozy small-town romance with a fun and spooky Halloween atmosphere. It has easily become one of my favorite Halloween-themed reads. I loved the balance between the sweet romance and the quirky supernatural happenings around town. At the same time, the story explores deeper themes of self-discovery, facing fears, and personal growth, which added emotional depth and made the characters feel more authentic.
My favorite characters were Luna and Hadley, and my favorite scene was Poppy's first arrival at the Inn, which perfectly captured the charm and magic of the story.
If you enjoy cozy small-town romances with a touch of paranormal fun and plenty of heart, this book is definitely worth adding to your reading list.
