ARC Review
The Pumpkin Pie Book Nook by Harper Graham is the fifth book in the Maple Falls series.
Robyn was teaching literature at Yale, but she decided to take a semester’s sabbatical and return to Maple Falls to relax, recharge, and figure out what she really wants. At first, she helps her friend run the local bookshop alongside Tyler, but when her friend decides to sell the store, they both find themselves responsible for organizing the books and finding the perfect buyer.
While searching through the shelves, Robyn and Tyler discover something unexpected: a mystery hidden inside her great-grandmother’s romantic book. To uncover the full story, they have to follow the clues and find all the missing chapters. As they work together, their friendship slowly turns into something more, and they finally allow their feelings to become a relationship.
However, when Robyn’s biggest secret is revealed, everything changes. At the same time, she receives a huge opportunity that could shape her future career. Now she has to decide if she can have both the life she dreamed of and the love she found in Maple Falls.
This was such a cute fall-themed romance that will make you swoon while also making you think about your own life choices. The story includes some wonderful tropes: small town romance, single dad, steamy author, and friends-to-lovers. It is told through a dual POV, which helped me understand both characters better.
The romance develops quickly, but it never felt rushed or forced. The pacing was steady, and I loved how the author built the small-town atmosphere. The characters had their own struggles, which created some tension throughout the story, but the emotional moments and the ending made everything come together beautifully.
Tyler was definitely my favorite character. I loved how caring and supportive he was toward Robyn. He was not only a wonderful dad but also a thoughtful partner. Robyn, however, was not my favorite. I understood where she was coming from and why she made certain choices, but at times she felt a little too focused on herself.
My favorite part of the book was seeing how the community reacted when Robyn’s secret was revealed. It added such a warm and emotional touch to the story.
If you love cozy fall romances with a little bit of spice, small-town charm, and characters finding their way back to themselves, this book is definitely worth picking up.
