Fighting to stay by Kasey Millstead

                                                                Description:
“Never stay, Lacey. Promise me. Promise me right now, that whenever things go bad in life, you will run. Never, ever stay.”

Lacey Monroe was used to running. When things got bad, when things got dangerous, when there was a chance that she would get hurt – physically or emotionally – she did what her momma said. She ran. She kept running, until she landed in Salt Rock, Alabama. She meets Roam Cooper, the Vice President of the Mayhem Motorcycle Club. For the first time in her life, Lacey considers staying…and then right before her eyes, her world falls apart, and she runs again.

“No more runnin’, Lacey. ‘Bout time you started fighting to stay.” – Roam.

                                             My opinion:
The story begins with a cute scene,a daddy says a bed time story to his baby girl.
Lacey's life as a child was terrible, so her momma made her promise that if things get bad in her life she would run, and that's what she did.For years she was running. One day she decided to visit her best friend Jenn in Salt Rock and make a new start there. And there she met him, her hot as hell biker.Roam, her biker, wanted her from the moment he laid his eyes on her, so he had to have her. They fucked a couple of times and then they were together, she met his little boy, everything were great. Then someone seems to threaten Lacey so he makes sure that she's safe. They're happy for many months after that
especially when their little girl comes to life. But then something scared Lacey and she run away from him.Roam was devastated. It's been years but he found her,now Lacey had to fight for her life and her family, no more running.

The most sweet biker story i have ever read. It's focused mostly on Lacey and Roam. We learn about their history and how they ended up together. You'll love it if you're a romantic soul, but it seemed to be a bit quick to me. There aren't many details, except from the love scenes.

My favourite lines:
1)Oh my Lord. He’s a triple threat. Tall, dark and handsome.

2)Holy shit, his junk is pierced.

3)“You do know my name is Lacey, right? Not Sugar.” I attempt to lighten the mood.
“Yeah, I know,” he chuckles. “But you’re sweet as fuckin’ sugar.”

4)“You were wrong mom. Sometimes running isn’t the

only option. Sometimes fighting to stay is the right thing to do.”
