Feral Sins ( The Phoenix Pack #1) by Suzanne Wright

                                                                  Description:
If your inner wolf and your body react rather enthusiastically to a psychotic Alpha male who’s own wolf has a tendency to turn feral, it can’t be a good thing, can it? Entering into a bargain with him wouldn’t be good either. Unfortunately, Taryn Warner, a latent wolf shifter, doesn’t have many options open to her right now. Okay, she has no options. Basically it comes down to whether she’ll do what it takes to escape the arranged mating with the sick SOB that her father set up. As the answer in this case is yes, it looks as though she’ll have to agree to Trey Coleman’s deal…she’ll have to mate with him instead.

Having always disliked shifter politics, Trey Coleman hadn’t bothered trying to form alliances with other packs. Now that his uncle – a wolf with many alliances – means to take Trey’s territory and his pack, he has no option but to form some alliances of his own very quickly or he’ll be easily outnumbered in the upcoming battle. He figures that the easiest way to do that would be to mate with a female whose Alpha is powerful and influential. There’s only one problem with that – he would then be stuck with her, and the last thing Trey wants is a mate. When he hears of Taryn’s situation, he offers her a deal – if she falsely claims he’s her true mate and allows him to claim her, he’ll save her from her arranged mating and then let her leave after the battle with his uncle is over.

Sounds like a pretty straightforward deal...but soon Taryn and Trey realize they got more than they bargained for. Their mating instincts to protect and possess are weighing on them, they crave each other’s touch and company, and their inner wolves don’t like it whenever they’re apart. Add in that they’ll have to deal with this for an entire three months until the day of the battle finally arrives, and they’ve got themselves a recipe for disaster – or maybe for something quite the opposite.

                                                                My opinion:
Taryn was a latent wolf, her father hated her for that because it meant she was weak, and others were moking her. Her dad wanted to have many alliances and that's why he promised to Roscoe (an Alpha from another pack) that he could marry Tarryn. She hated that wolf. Trey, aka psycho shifter, needed a few alliances himself so he can fight his uncle, when he found out about Tarryn's situation he proposed a deal to her. Unfortunately she couldn't decline that offer, so she accepted. They pretended that they were real mates, there were many that didn't beilieve them. Her dad tried to fight Trey and take her back but failed. Some of the wolves from Trey's back hated her because of who she was. As the days were passing they started to create a bond and fell for each other but noone was ready to admit it until the day they realised they were true mates. Someone from the pack was trying to hurt Tarryn and Trey was getting real mad.In the battle with his uncle they found out who betrayed him and why, but something unheard happened there too. Every wolf was amazed by it since it had never happened before.

I freakin loved this book. It has a simple but also interesting storyline. My favourite parts are Tarryn's snarky comments. The characters are funny and sweet. Tarryn is a tiny loving snarky bitch who loved to break noses. Trey is a huge sexy brooding wolf who could easily turn feral. They both had a very bad childhood that created them problems while growing up. For the first time she had a family who adored and respected her and Trey had the chance to feel how it is to love and be loved.

My favourite lines:
1)Or three, she could just be her usual ray of sarcastic fucking sunshine and tell anyone who pushed her to go eat shit.

2)“Poor girl looks like she had a fight with a vampire. Oh and you, Taryn, damn you can curse. What did she call you at one point, Trey? Oh that was it. A motherfucking ass-licking sod of a cock-sucking goddamn bitch.”

3) “You’re not his type!”
“You mean because I can read and write?”

4)“Punching people is managing my anger.”

5)“Just give me a second. Attempting to give a fuck…Attempting harder to give a fuck…Sorry, there was an error. Fuck not given.”

6)Her eyes focused on Trey and she grinned wickedly. “I’m Glory. And you are?”
“Mated,” snapped another female voice. “So move your ass very far away.”

7)She cocked her head. “Do I get extra points if I fake giving a shit?”

8)Crazy bitch? Oh no, honey, I’m an angel, I swear. The horns are only there to hold up the halo.

9)“Erections don’t equal personal growth, Trey.”
