My opinion:
In the pack came a few more members, one of them was Jamie a girl from their old pack who had a huge crush on Dante. He thought that her crush would have died by now but it hasn't. He wasn't responding to her interest because he wasn't into submissive wolves, he prefered them feisty. After all the efforts she has done, she eventually decided that he was a lost cause and that it was time to move on. Dante didn't like to be ignored by her. He noticed that Jamie had never gone to a run with the pack and he was worried about her. He tried to find out what was wrong with her, in one of their fights he realised that she wasn't a submissive wolf but a dominant. Dante found out her secret just like almost all the pack. They wanted her out but he wasn't letting her leave , he was going to help her deal with her problem.As if this wasn't enough he had to worry about a crazy wolf who wanted to hurt Jamie. Her training was going very well, that woman was made of steel. They had their ups and downs in their relationship but they dealt with them and they were fine. Until the moment the crazy wolves crashed their ceremony. Her wolf went in full attack mode and didn't let her to come back for a long time. Not until she felt safe and let the mating bond to sink in.
The second book of the series is about Dante and Jamie also it has parts of Shaya's and Nick's story. It's as sexy and funny as the first book. The storyline isn't exactly the same as the previous but has some parts in common. Dante, the Beta wolf, has been hurt by a woman in the past so he swore off relationships and was a workacholic until Jamie came around. Jamie is a funny nice dominant wolf who had been traumatised in a young age. She kept a huge secret from her pack for a long time and because of that she couldn't be carefree and happy. That ended when Dante found out about it and was determined to help her.
My favourite lines:
1)“I suppose you look a tiny bit better nowadays. You’d always been a fat child.”
“I prefer the term ‘charitably shaped.’”
2)“That’s a terrible attitude you’ve got.”
“Yep, and I know how to use it.”
3)Oh, live a little, will you,” she said. “I’m only doing eighty.”
“You’re going one hundred and ten miles per hour!”
“Sure, if you want to get technical about it.”
4)“If you like your wrist attached to your arm, you might want to release me.”
5)“Know this, too: if you ever get an idea like that again, I’ll know, baby, and I’ll spank your ass so damn hard there’ll be a permanent handprint right there.”
She gave him a cheeky smile. “As long as you understand there’ll be a matching one on your face.”
