Dallas ‘Edge’ Masson lives by this rule. He is a killer.

If you are on his radar, be prepared to pay the ferryman, but sometimes things aren’t clear cut. Sometimes there is a grey area, but when you are trained only to see black or white, shoot first ask questions later, that’s when things get royally fucked up.

Whisper has lived a controlled life under the evil hand of William Dupre’ and her mistress. Opportunity knocks and she escapes into a world she was forbidden to enter.
Fate finally chose to be kind to Whisper. Trust and respect are two things Whisper did not understand. How could she?
Miss Catherine is smart and wise. She feels things in dem bones of hers.
Boxer the gentleman has his secrets, he has his contacts and together they become Whisper’s guardian angels.
Whisper lost her existence, her identity to William Dupre’, hell’s bastard.
Miss Catherine and Boxer gave her dignity back to her. Trust and respect is a two way street.

My opinion:
Edge is the Soulless Bastards MC's enforcer. He is a killer. He can be your best friend or your worst nightmare.
Whisper was kidnapped when she was little by Master Williams who kept her imprisoned and later used her as his personal slave. He abused her mentally and physically. When she found him dead she didn't know what to do, she only knew that it was her chance to escape. After wondering around in the rain she knocked in an old woman's house. Miss Catherine took her in, listened to her and decided to help her. She called her friend Boxer, who took care of everything. Whisper was living with her for the last three months, for the first time in her life she was happy with people who cared about her, she even had friends and a job. One day a lawyer came to her and gave her William's will. She found out that he left her all his fortune and that he had a son. What she didn't know was that the son, Edge, was coming to claim what was his. Edge had a plan, he would find her and kill her, but in the end there was a small change of plans. Instead of killing her he was trying to save her life.
Interesting story but very complicated. It starts from the middle and continues with not many information about the characters. It's not a narrative text, every character jumps in and tells a part of the story. Whisper's story is very touching. It was impressive how Whisper, with the help of Miss Catherine and Boxer's, went from being a scared mouse into a more confident woman. The scene between her and Edge is extremely hot. I hate that it ends in a cliffhanger.
