Description:
Lauren Michaels is exhausted with the push and pull of copy editing for Los Angeles’s woman’s magazine, Frenzy, which caters to pop culture, style, and above all, sex.
She wants to write for the magazine rather than edit, but her boss is convinced that Lauren’s conservative tendencies won’t fit in with the risqué nature of what Frenzy is about.
Convinced to make her mark, Lauren begs for the chance to prove herself.
Her mission? To investigate the growing popularity of sex clubs in Los Angeles, and figure out how the sensual underworld functions.
Out of her element, Lauren starts her search with pen and paper in hand at a local sex shop, hoping she’ll find a trail that leads to the lairs of sex and fetishes. Instead, it leads her to Nathan Sanders. He’s daunting, charming, and a little too dark and mysterious for her taste, but Lauren knows he’s what she needs as her way in.
What she doesn’t see coming is that Nathan is all too willing to invite her to a nightclub she’s only ever heard stories about, and also the fact that Nathan know’s Lauren doesn’t have a clue what she’s getting herself into.
This could be fun, they said. There’s no harm in it, they agreed.
Little do they know, a little research can serve up some unexpected results.
My opinion:
Lauren was a girl who was in control of everything in her life. She had studied to be a journalist but was stuck as an editor at Frenzy magazine. One day she decided that she couldn't do it anymore and she was ready to follow her dream. Lauren talked with her boss about it, Rebecca didn't believe in her so she gave her a very difficult article to make. Lo had to write about the fetish clubs of LA. Since she was very inexperienced she started looking on the internet and also went to a sex shop. There she met a man who was the solution to her problem, he offered to take her to the most famous sex club in LA, Fahrenheit. They agreed to help each other as long as she needed to finish her article. It was going very well and Nate's lessons were very enjoyable. Lauren thought she had everything planned and under control, but she soon realised how wrong she was. Over these few days they had crossed many lines, they made it more personal than they should and that scared Nate. He stopped contacting her, she was hurt and confused, on top of that the deadline for the article was one day away. She wrote the best article by pouring her heart in it, the magazine was selling like crazy. Through that she gave her control back to Nate, he had to decide what would happen next. Thankfully Batman made the right decision for both of them.

Incredible story about a commitment-phobe man and an innocent looking girl with a dirty mind. There's love, pain, hurt, humor, sex. I like how the emotions escalate in this story, the characters are like the people next door which makes it easy to indetify with them.
In order to get what you want, you have to go after it. That's what Lauren did, she took risks and, in the end, she got everything she wanted. In the few days that Nate was with Lauren, he taught her a lot about sex but also he showed her that she deserved much more than she thought. Lo became a different person through this relationship. Nate changed a lot too, her article "woke him up".
