As we saw in the previous books, Slade wanted Dillon. They were messing around for months, but he was tired of her holding back. So he finally decided to get what he really wanted. For that to happen he had to reveal his secrets and show her who he really was. Dillon hated surprises and the fact that after all these years she didn't know who Slade was it freaked her out. Slade wasn't going to give up so easy, he was determined to find out what was wrong with her and fix it. Because of her father Dillon wasn't able to be in a relationship, but with her brother's help and Slade's love she finally did it. They were both happy in the end.
This is the story of Dillon, the broken girl with commitment issues, and Slade the almost perfect male character aka the dark prince in the shining armor. A part of Slade's life was secret since the town he was living was small and the people weren't very open minded. He was a very good person, caring, and a true alpha male. Dillon's life wasn't the best, her dad was a drug addict who left them, she left alone to care for her ill mom. The only connection she had with other people were through sex. That's how she earned the slut title. She had managed to keep her life simple until Slade came along, he messed everything up and showed her what she was missing.
