Never tear us apart ( Never tear us apart #1) by Monica Murphy

                                                             Description:
Crazy how eight years can disappear in an instant. One look at Katie Watts, and I’m a fifteen-year-old again—the one who risked everything to save a terrified girl from her twisted kidnapper. She’s grown-up now—beautiful, quiet, composed—and telling her story to the world. A story that involves me in more ways than you can imagine. She used to call me her guardian angel. Sure, I risked my life, but she was worth dying for.

I need to make contact with her. Just to ensure that she’s safe.

Somehow we reconnect. We become friends . . . but I want more. I want to make her mine. And she wants me too. Does she know who I am? Has she figured me out? Not yet. But she will. In the meantime, I need to make sure that whatever hold that animal had on her is gone.

So, yeah, I’m stealing these moments with her. Savoring them. Knowing, dreading, that she’ll soon find out who I really am. And everything will fall apart. All because of that twisted, perverted monster sitting on death row. Her kidnapper. A convicted serial killer.

My father.

                                                                My opinion:
When Katherine was a kid she was kidnapped, raped and beaten by a monster. He would have killed her but, Will, her hero saved her. 8 years later she tried to move on with her life and decided to tell her story in a reporter. She thought that this would free her from that nightmare. It didn't work out as she wanted, that brought back a lot of bad memories and a good one, about that young boy. Will aka Ethan, was in love with her he searched her for many years, then tried to forget her. But when he saw her on tv he knew that his love for her wouldn't disappear. He stalked her for a while, and when she needed help he was at the right place at the right moment. They spent time together, both felt attraction to each other. Katherine for the first time wanted a man's touch and that made her happy. Ethan wanted her but he knew he had to stay away since he wasn't ready to tell her about his true identity. They spent one incredible night together but his secret  was revealed by someone else and ruined everything between them.

A simple story about an abused girl and her hero. The story begins from the present and has a lot of flashbacks as an explanation. There aren't many characters. Unfortunately, for me ends with a cliffhanger.

The two main characters confused me a bit, Katie doesn't like to be called victim she prefers the term survivor which shows strength, but she says that she's broken. Will seems nice since he helped her many times and loves her too. But he also acts like a stalker which is kinda scary.
