Description:
The club comes first.
I’ve lived by those words my whole life—assumed I’d die by them, too, and I never had a problem with that. My Reaper brothers took my back and I took theirs and it was enough. Then I met her. Tinker Garrett. She’s beautiful, she’s loyal, and she works so damned hard it scares me sometimes . . . She deserves a good man—one better than me. I can’t take her yet because the club still needs me. There’s another woman, another job, another fight just ahead.
Now she’ll learn I’ve been lying to her all along. None of it’s real. Not my name, not my job, not even the clothes I wear. She thinks I’m nice. She pretends we’re just friends, that I’ve still got a soul . . . Mine’s been dead for years. Now I’m on fire for this woman, and a man can only burn for so long before he destroys everything around him.
I’m coming for you, Tinker.
Soon.
My opinion:
Tinker was a woman in her mid-thirties who was trying to build her life again. She was trying to divorce her husband, taking care of her ill father and "building" her job. Gage was a member of the Reapers currently living in Hallies Falls because of he needed information about the local MC who was causing troubles to them. There he met Tinker, the one and only woman who light up a fire inside him. He decided to live in her apartment's complex as her new handyman, best and worst decision of his life. It was killing him that he couldn't have anything with her at the moment. Gage tried to stay away from her but it was impossible, their little slip up brought more problems than he needed. Because of that, Tinker was in danger and he had to finish this job sooner. Things didn't end well with the MC, but he managed to earn Tinker's trust and love. In the end, he only had to worry about the psycho siblings and the wildfires that were destroying everything.
Very engaging book, you want to keep reading until it's finished. In this one, there are a lot going on at the same time. We have Tinker with so many personal problems and when she meets Gage she has two more, him and his crazy bitch. Gage has the problem with the Nighthawks, Talia, and Tinker. All of them are evolving at the same time, you have to pay attention to what you're reading so you can keep up with the storyline. One thing that is very obvious and enjoyable is the sexual tension between Tinker and Gage and that their first encounters are like those that horny teenagers have, quite funny sometimes. Like the previous books, in this one, we have fighting, riding bikes, loyalty, family support, hot erotic scenes and the classic prejudices about the bikers.
