Liliana Scuderi has been in love with Romero from the moment she first saw him. My opinion:
Liliana had a crush on Romero since the first time she met him. For some strange reason, she felt safe around him, Everytime even though she saw him with blood on hiEvery time they were in the same room she was trying to find a way to get his attention. On her birthday there was a very embarrassing moment between them, and after everything that was happening in her house she kind of gave up on her flirting with Romero. Her mother's sickness and death affected her a lot, to the point she got sick as well. Her sisters were happy that they were going to have her with them for a while. Being close to Romero again brought her feelings for him on the surface. He had a huge attraction towards her as well but because of his oath, he couldn't act on it. They couldn't deny their feelings anymore so they allowed themselves to a few moments of happiness together. It was very dangerous, they both knew that, so they had to be very careful. She had spent three wonderful months with her sisters and the person she loved when she returned home a very unpleasant surprise was waiting for her. Her father was going to marry her to a very old man. Her sisters and Romero were ready to do anything to save her but she couldn't let anything bad happen to him or her family so she accepted this awful situation. The day of her marriage was one of the worst for them, it was also the beginning of a war.
It's a very romantic story and so much different than the previous three. On this one, the two main characters are in love with each other and ready to fight anyone who goes against them. Half of the book is filled with happy and forbidden moments and the other half full of grief. Liliana was Romero's little temptress since a very young age. According to her dad, she was a troublemaker like her older sister Gianna. Romero was the perfect soldier until the moment Lilly grew up to be a beautiful woman since then she was his kryptonite. They kind of reminded me of Romeo and Juliet. I liked it very much.
