🍯🍯🍯

She runs a cozy lakeside café where everyone knows her name. He chases sunsets with a camera and a backpack. One honey spiced latte later, sparks fly… and a steamy, feel-good summer romance begins! Gilmore Girls + spice = 🔥

Krista is the busiest bee in Maple Falls. Her buzzing café ‘The Hot Honey Hideaway’ doesn’t leave her with much time for romance. Until she meets Joe, the mysterious new guy with smoldering eyes... Can she open her heart to a man who’s only staying a few weeks?

Joe’s never felt like he belongs. Until he’s working shifts at Krista’s café—losing battles with steamed milk, distracted by her bright eyes and runaway hair. He’s all easy charm, she’s all caffeine and chaos. Somehow, they just work and soon sparks aren’t just coming from the espresso machine...

But time is running out. He’ll soon be back on the road, and Krista’s dream café is on the brink of having to close its doors forever. Can Krista and Joe save the hideaway? And could a summer fling turn into love for a lifetime?

My opinion:

ARC Review

The Hot Honey Hideaway by Harper Graham is the fourth book in the Maple Falls series.

Krista is the owner of the Hot Honey Hideaway café, something she built all by herself and is incredibly proud of. Unfortunately, with her grandparents getting older and her grandma’s illness getting worse, she also has to help with their business, and handling everything at once becomes impossible. So she makes the difficult decision to sell her café.

When her besties find out, they decide to step in and help. One of her friends challenges her to swap lives for a week with hot travel journalist Joe Valerio and document everything on social media to raise money for her grandparents. Krista accepts the challenge. What starts as something fun soon turns into something more. But can a summer fling turn into something lasting?

This is a cozy and spicy small-town romance that you didn’t know you needed. Grab your favorite drink, get comfortable, and enjoy this romantic story. You’ll laugh, have fun, and maybe even tear up a little. The story is well written and told through dual POV, showing that unexpected love can be something magical and that accepting help isn’t a weakness.

The small mystery involving her great-grandma added a beautiful layer to the story and gave deeper meaning to their situation. My favorite part was definitely the cave. It was such a memorable moment.

If you love spicy romance, this is one you should definitely give a try.
