Review: Darling Sinners by Nova Myers

 Description:
The Vale twins never belonged.
Neither did the monsters they became.
This Halloween, they're coming home.
Silas
Halloween has always been my favorite night.
Laughter fills the streets.
Children hide behind masks as they run from house to house.
Teenagers stumble through the night, drunk and oblivious.
But what I've always loved most is that no one pays attention to the crimes committed on Halloween.

Sage
My brother always said Halloween was an invitation for mischief.
This year, I'm going to make him proud.
Because this Halloween reeks of revenge…

My opinion:

ARC Review

Darling Sinners by Nova Myers is an erotic horror novel that blends taboo romance, revenge, and plenty of bloodshed.

Silas and Sage, known as the Vale twins, were adopted and raised as siblings despite not being related by blood. As they grew older, their bond turned into something far more complicated. When their adoptive mother discovered the truth about their relationship, they paid a devastating price for what she saw as their sins. Years later, the Vale twins return with one goal in mind: revenge. And what better night for a massacre than Halloween?

This is one of those taboo horror stories that will definitely stick with me. I loved the revenge-driven plot, especially after everything Silas and Sage endured. Their personalities were so different, which made them even more interesting. Sage started off as the more fragile of the two, but she ended up becoming the more entertaining one while still holding on to a tiny bit of humanity. Silas, on the other hand, was completely unhinged, making him the perfect horror villain.

The story stays focused on their revenge while gradually revealing the backstory behind their trauma, giving readers the full picture of what led them to this point. As much as I usually love a happy ending, this ending was absolutely perfect for the story. It couldn't have ended any other way. And as always, I love a completely chaotic FMC with entertaining inner monologues.

If you're looking for a dark, bloody horror read to add to your Halloween TBR, you won't want to miss this one.
