Ángel Rascón is an enforcer for the Lozano Cartel. One day, while escorting his boss’s wife, he gets shot and she is kidnapped.
Thankfully, Marisol Cruz is nearby and comes to his rescue. She saves his life and also helps find Lourdes. There is an instant attraction between Marisol and Ángel, and even though Marisol isn't thrilled about his connection to the cartel, she can't deny what she feels for him.
When Marisol's brother, who also works for the cartel, does something incredibly idiotic and gets himself into trouble, Marisol ends up in danger too. Ángel is ready to fight everyone and everything to protect the woman he has fallen for. But when the time comes, will Marisol choose her brother or the man she loves?
This was an opposites-attract cartel romance with a bit of stalker vibes and lots of protectiveness. It's a short story that focuses mainly on the romance between Marisol and Ángel, while the cartel problems involving her brother add some suspense and danger to the story.
I loved the chemistry between them. From the first time they met, there was something intense between them, and I really enjoyed watching their relationship develop. They complemented each other well. Marisol was caring and feisty, while Ángel was overprotective and bossy.
Their intimate scenes were scorching hot, and the suspense and danger surrounding the cartel made the story even more interesting. My favorite part was when Ángel woke up in the hospital. ❤️
