A Bet…
Yes, I made a bet with my best friend—my now ex-best friend. It had been a stupid, heat of the moment kind of thing. I’d just wanted to get her out of my system and move one. Instead I’ve lived to regret it ever since. I lost the girl I loved, a girl that possessed my very soul. Now I can’t even get close to Natalie. She thinks all she ever meant to me was just the means to the end of a stupid, stupid game.

In the span of one night I’d gone from thinking I had a future with the man I loved to SHATTERED at his feet. I can’t get over it. The pain is too strong, too destructive as it festers more and more inside of me. And then my friend came up with the perfect revenge for both our broken hearts.

Those three little words gave me a reason to ball my pain up and throw it back in Devlin Cutter’s face. I would let him back in, let him think he had a chance with me once again. And then I would walk away, leaving him broken and bleeding at my feet as he once had left me.

My opinion:
A year ago Nat was dating Devlin and she was happy, but a night at a bar she found out that she was just a bet between him and Zander. A year later she had
to be in the same charity gala with him, she didn't think she could make it. Nat missed him so much even if she knew that she shouldn't after what he did
to her. She was right to be afraid since she ended up in his bed. A few months later, still hurt by him,she made a few appearance changes. Devlin was
trying to make her talk to him and earn her back, it wasn't easy at all.When the tour started Nat and Rissa made a bet, each one of them would seduce Devlin
Wroth and then dump them so they can hurt as much as those two were. After a couple of days she realised she couldn't do it, she loved him too much and with his actions he showed the same too. Many days later her brothers found out about the bet and there was a beatdown. But that was the time for some major revelations. Nat and Devlin had their happy ending...
Another good Rocker story, this one is about Nat (Drake's and Shane's sister)and Devlin a member of Otherwolrd. I liked it. I would have liked to
see how the bet was made between Devlin and Zander. Why don't we have a glimpse of the next book in this one?
My favourite lines:
1)“For real?” Jenna squeaked and covered her eyes with her hands. “Go put Mister Happy away, Zander. I do not want to see it waving around like a flag.”
2)“If you come looking for your kid and can’t find him, it’s because I already buried the body.”
I couldn’t help but snort at Jesse’s statement as I dropped down on the couch in his living room.
3)One, don’t piss Emmie off. It will get you ugly-dead. Like your-own-mother-wouldn’t-recognize-you dead.
4)Call me a pussy all you want, but that little redhead terrified me.
