My opinion:
Hailey wanted to help Cole clear his name but he refused to drag her into this. Cole and his partners were trying to figure out who and why killed that woman. What they discovered was something bigger than they expected. A couple weeks later Hailey did the interview her family wanted but she found out that her father had more illicit secrets. The Horus Group is trying to help the Feds take down a very dangerous man. Cole wanted to spend more time with his beautiful girl so he asked her to accompany him in his trip. She accepted and this might be the worst decision she's ever made.
This story is getting more interesting and complicated. Cole and Hailey aren't just a fling anymore but something much more. The sex scenes are kinkier and more dirty.
