Filthy Rich (Blackstone Dynasty #1) by Raine Miller

Billionaire Caleb Blackstone lives in the glamorous world of wealth and success, with every material luxury. But the moment he sees Brooke Casterley, none of that matters. Caleb is filled with a raw, undeniable need that he can’t ignore…for a girl who is so completely different from everything and everyone he’s ever known.

Only Brooke isn’t looking for love. She knows all too well just how much damage the wrong guy can do. Still, what sane, broke British girl can resist the charms of an incredibly sexy, chivalrous billionaire? What starts as flirtation quickly turns into all-consuming passion. Nothing could have prepared her for the searing heat of Caleb’s touch—or just how much she craves him.

Their whirlwind romance is the stuff of high-society fantasy—but for every moment of pleasure, there is a cost. Past mistakes and tragedy shadow them both…and falling for him might be the kind of trouble she can’t afford.

                                                           My opinion:

Caleb was a gorgeous rich man, he was the new CEO of the Blackstone Global Enterprises. He was good at sleeping with women but not so good in relationships. Brooke after her tragic past she avoided men at all costs, she wasn't ready to get out there yet. After their chance meeting, their whole world would change. He was charmed by her beauty and her attitude. He soon started searching for information about her and for ways to get her to spend time with him. Brooke liked him a lot, he was always nice and patient with her, something she had never experienced before. Their feelings grew very fast but it didn't really scare them. Caleb knew from the beginning that he wanted to marry this witty British girl and nothing would prevent him from doing it, not the hideous paparazzi or the crazy ex-girlfriend.

A modern day cinderella story with two "broken" characters that heal each other. It is the sweetest story I have ever read with no fights or schemings. It's all about the pure deep love and happiness.

Bound by Temptation (Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles #4) by Cora Reilly

Liliana Scuderi has been in love with Romero from the moment she first saw him. After her sisters were married off for tactical reasons, she hopes she might be allowed to choose a husband for herself, but when her father promises her to a man more than twice her age that hope is crushed. No begging can make him change his mind.

Romero has always ignored Lily’s flirting. Her age and status made her off-limits but even someone as dutiful as him has only so much control. Wanting her when she’s supposed to marry another man could mean war between New York and the Chicago Outfit, and Romero has always put the Cosa Nostra first.

Lily suspects her sisters and Romero would risk everything for her, but is her happiness worth that much? Is love worth a war between the Cosa Nostra and the Outfit?

                                                                  My opinion:
Liliana had a crush on Romero since the first time she met him. For some strange reason, she felt safe around him, Everytime even though she saw him with blood on hiEvery time they were in the same room she was trying to find a way to get his attention. On her birthday there was a very embarrassing moment between them, and after everything that was happening in her house she kind of gave up on her flirting with Romero. Her mother's sickness and death affected her a lot, to the point she got sick as well. Her sisters were happy that they were going to have her with them for a while. Being close to Romero again brought her feelings for him on the surface. He had a huge attraction towards her as well but because of his oath, he couldn't act on it. They couldn't deny their feelings anymore so they allowed themselves to a few moments of happiness together. It was very dangerous, they both knew that, so they had to be very careful. She had spent three wonderful months with her sisters and the person she loved when she returned home a very unpleasant surprise was waiting for her. Her father was going to marry her to a very old man. Her sisters and Romero were ready to do anything to save her but she couldn't let anything bad happen to him or her family so she accepted this awful situation. The day of her marriage was one of the worst for them, it was also the beginning of a war.

It's a very romantic story and so much different than the previous three. On this one, the two main characters are in love with each other and ready to fight anyone who goes against them. Half of the book is filled with happy and forbidden moments and the other half full of grief. Liliana was Romero's little temptress since a very young age. According to her dad, she was a troublemaker like her older sister Gianna. Romero was the perfect soldier until the moment Lilly grew up to be a beautiful woman since then she was his kryptonite. They kind of reminded me of Romeo and Juliet. I liked it very much.

Peacock by Nora Flite and Allison Starwood

The bet was simple: All I had to do was make a guy fall in love with me in one week. Normally I'd never take such a crazy dare, but I could REALLY use the cash... so how could I say no?
Then I met him: my mystery date.
Simon "Peacock" Cavanaugh. Or better yet, just call him Simon the C*#k. He's rude, perverse, and his good looks make me hate him even more.
Falling in love with a guy like him... it might be impossible.
But that's a relief, because really, why would I WANT to be head over heels for a man that's more dick than heart? A guy who thinks a good first date is hooking up in an alley?
This simple bet is going haywire.
Simon is a player who says he doesn't do romance. I know I'll never let a bad boy like him close to my heart.
What if we're both wrong?

                                                             My opinion:

Tazzy had made a bet with her friend Riley that in one week she could have a guy fall for her, her friend didn't agree. The man she chose was a guy with the screen name Peackock87, she found him on a dating site. They met at a bar and he was not what she expected. He was very handsome,(the kind of sex on two legs) and definitely a player. A few minutes later she and Simon were banging in an alleyway. After what happened there she was sure that'd he soon would fall for her. The next day even she had doubts about it, Simon was acting strange and her body was still craving his touch which wasn't a good sign for the bet. What she feared the most happened, she fell for him. A few days before the bet ended her world collapsed, everything she knew was a big fat lie. She wasn't one to break down, she was going to face those who hurt her and move on. But then something surprising happened, her inner romantic girl found the true love.

One of the hottest erotic novels of 2016.

It starts as a pure erotic and fun novel but ends very romantic. There are a lot of erotic and kinky scenes. The story evolves in only one week and isn't focused only on Simon and Tazzy, but to a few people around them as well. Even though they appear to be different, in the end, you can see that they actually have a lot of things in common. I enjoyed reading this book, it cheered me up. It also gonna leave many people hot and bothered. "wink wink"

Bound by Duty (Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles #2) by Cora Reilly

Dante – The Boss – Cavallaro’s wife died four years ago. On the verge of becoming the youngest head in the history of the Chicago mafia, Dante needs a new wife and Valentina was chosen for the role.
Valentina lost her husband, too, but her first marriage had always been for show. When she was eighteen, she agreed to marry Antonio in order to hide the truth: that he was gay and in love with an outsider. Even after his death, she kept his secret, not only to preserve the honor of a dead man, but also to protect herself. But now that she’s about to marry Dante, her castle of lies threatens to crash. Dante is only thirty-six but already feared and respected in the Familia, and he’s notorious for always getting what he wants. Valentina is terrified of the wedding night that might reveal her secret, but her worries prove unfounded when Dante shows her the cold shoulder. Soon her fear is replaced by confusion and indignation. Valentina is tired of being ignored. She’s determined to get Dante’s attention and desire, even if she can’t get his heart that still belongs to his dead wife.

                                                         My opinion:
Valentina lost her husband at a young age, she didn't have any children so her father decided that she had to get married again. Her new husband would be Dante – The Boss – Cavallaro. He was going to be the new Boss of the Chicago outfit and she was going to be the most influential woman in Chicago. Valentina thought that her second marriage would be with a man that desired her not someone who still loved his dead wife and was cold to her. Despite that she was happy because she would eventually get rid of her v-card and feel pleasure. Unfortunately, she wasn't that lucky, Dante didn't consummate their marriage and ignored her most of the time which hurt her a lot. She tried many times to get his attention and when she finally succeeded she saw that he wanted her but he was holding back.  She never gave up and her wish came true, she had sex with him and she enjoyed it a lot. She was happy with that and her new job. Even after months, their marriage wasn't as she had once hoped, he treated her like a whore at night and an employee in the day. He never stopped hurting her emotionally. The almost loss of one of his most precious people worked as a wake-up call to Dante and he started acting like a real husband. In the end, Valentina was one of the happiest women in the mob world.

Very interesting book. The mob scenes are very limited. There are love faith and a lot of hurtful moments. What i loved was that in this story it shows that even women in this world are smart and capable of doing something more than sitting at home. Of course in this situation, Valentina's character was also a hero and not just because she saved her husband as Aria did on the first book. Dante was a cold man, a killer who mourned his ex-wife's death.  He was a lot like Luca. Valentina was a very stubborn and smart woman who knew when to argue and when to submit.

Even though Dante's rejection towards his wife had dragged out a lot it was a very entertaining book.

Bound by Hatred (Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles #3) by Cora Reilly

When Gianna watched her sister Aria getting married to a man she barely knew, she promised herself she wouldn’t let the same thing happen to her.

Matteo – The Blade – Vitiello set his eyes on Gianna the moment he saw her on his brother Luca’s wedding, and Rocco Scuderi is more than willing to give his daughter to him, but Gianna has no intention of marrying for any other reason than love. A few months before the wedding, Gianna escapes her bodyguards and runs away. She has enough money to flee to Europe and begin a new life. But staying undetected when the mob is searching for her is a challenge that takes everything, especially as one of their best hunters and assassins is after her: Matteo Vitiello.

After six months on the run, Gianna finally settles into a tentative routine in Munich, but then Matteo and a couple of her father’s soldiers find her with another man.

Despite her pleads they kill her boyfriend, and Gianna is forced to marry Matteo. Her emotions alternating between guilt over having dragged an innocent into her world and hatred toward Matteo, Gianna is determined to make life hell for her husband. But Matteo is a master at mind games and their struggle for power soon turns into hate-fueled nights of passion.

                                                      My opinion:
Matteo liked Gianna since the first moment they met, she was a fiery girl which was entertaining for him. He enjoyed a good hunt, the more she resisted him the more he wanted her. So when he saw that she had grown to a beautiful woman he decided to marry her, of course, that made her furious since she had promised to herself not to agree with a forced marriage. After the Russians attacked them and she saw Matteo and the familia torturing those men she had enough, she was going to escape this world soon. She managed to escape but Matteo was going to hunt her and bring her back. After a few months of travelling in Europe, she decided to stay in Munich. She made friends there and found her first boyfriend. That didn't last long since Matteo found her and her father's goons killed Sid.  He had to hand her back to her father even though he only wanted to protect her. Both families managed to keep the peace and continue with the wedding. Even after the wedding, Gianna didn't make efforts to try and accept her new life in addition to Matteo who was trying hard to make things between them work out. She eventually accepted her feelings for him when she thought she was going to lose him forever.

There is a good amount of Mafia blood scenes. The erotic ones are very good but there are also many fighting scenes with Matteo and Gianna that annoyed me. If she accepted it and loved him earlier I wouldn't have minded it at all but I think it went too far. I did enjoy most of their banters.
Matteo was a handsome man and very fun but when he wanted he could be terrifying. He also was very protective of his family. Gianna had always acted like a bitch to everyone but with her siblings, she was protective and kind. She may acted brave but she was a scared girl. She was a beautiful fiery girl that her mouth got her in troubles.

I'm not very impressed by this but it does have a good storyline for a mafia romance book.

Bound by Honor (Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles #1) by Cora Reilly

Born into one of the leading Mob families in Chicago, Aria Scuderi struggles to find her own path in a world where no choices are given. Aria was only fifteen when her parents betrothed her to Luca – The Vice – Vitiello, the oldest son of the head of the New York Cosa Nostra to ensure peace between the two families.
Now with eighteen, the day Aria has been dreading for years is looming dangerously: her wedding to Luca.
Aria is terrified of marrying a man she hardly knows, especially someone like Luca who got his nickname ‘the Vice’ for crushing a man’s throat with his bare hands. Luca might be one of the most sought after men in New York thanks to his good looks, wealth and predator-like charisma that radiates power, but the society girls throwing themselves at him don’t know what Aria does: that the bad boy aura isn’t just a game; blood and death lurk beneath Luca’s striking gray eyes and arrogant smile.
In her world a handsome exterior often hides the monster within; a monster who can just as easily kill as kiss you.
The only way to escape the marriage to Luca would be to run away and leave everything she’s ever known behind but Aria can’t bear the thought of never seeing her family again.
Despite her fear, she decides to go through with the marriage; Aria has grown up among predators like Luca and knows that even most cold-hearted bastards have a heart and she has every intention of working her way into Luca’s.

                                                          My opinion:
The Bratva and the Triad  mobs wanted to expand in Chicago, the Italian mobs wanted to unite so they can fight them. That's why Aria's father decided that she was going to marry the oldest son of the New York familia, Luca. She was devastated that she was condemned since the age of fifteen to a loveless marriage with no bright future for her. Two months later was her engagement party where she first met him. Three years later came her wedding day. Her worst nightmare was going to be a reality and she could do nothing about it. She was terrified of the wedding night and her life as the wife of the future Capo dei Capi. Luca surprised her by doing something noble but a few days later he "hurt" her. They both wanted this marriage to work so they put everything behind and started again. They managed to make it work between them but Aria couldn't adapt to her new life, she was too innocent and emotional for all that. Their world was dangerous but Lucas would protect her forever no matter what.

Even though the story is about a forced marriage in the Mafia world, it gets very romantic early. Half the book is filled with erotic scenes. There's a bit of grief, blood scenes and sassy moments from the girls. About the characters: Aria is a good girl who was born in the wrong world. She was innocent and loved her family to death. Later she proved to be a very strong woman. Luca was a dangerous, brooding, handsome man. He appeared to be stone-cold to everyone but he was loving and caring for his darling wife. In general, the book is great with a very romantic/emotional storyline.

Second Debt (Indebted #3) by Pepper Winters

“I tried to play a game. I tried to wield deceit as perfectly as the Hawks. But when I thought I was winning, I wasn’t. Jethro isn’t what he seems—he’s the master of duplicity. However, I refuse to let him annihilate me further.”

Nila Weaver has grown from naïve seamstress to full-blown fighter. Every humdrum object is her arsenal, and sex…sex is her greatest weapon of all.

She’s paid the First Debt. She’ll probably pay more.

But she has no intention of letting the Hawks win.

Jethro Hawk has found more than a worthy adversary in Nila—he’s found the woman who could destroy him. There’s a fine line between hatred and love, and an even finer path between fear and respect.

The fate of his house rests on his shoulders, but no matter how much ice lives inside his heart, Nila flames too bright to be extinguished.

                                                              My opinion:
Nila felt betrayed by what Jethro did with the messages but after some thought, she realised that this was the only way he could be honest with her. Of course, she was going to get payback for that. Her plan to seduce him and make him care was backfiring and she didn't like that at all. The moment she felt love for him she found out a secret that made her feel rage and so much hate. Every day that passed there were people or situations that reminded her that she wasn't safe and what her end was going to be. She had to find a way to keep herself alive and sane until she could kill the Hawks. Jethro's disease was destroying him so his sister tried to help by giving him an advice. Both Nila and Jet had feelings they couldn't understand or control, it was time for them to gave in. Cut knew something was wrong with Jethro which was why soon enough he gave him a silent order, make her pay the second debt or die. The second debt was paid but no one expected what would follow the next morning.

I liked it a lot. We learn more about the Weaver and Hawk history, about the second debt. We got to meet Jasmine and saw how much she loved and helped her big brother. Also, the deep love that formed between Nila and Jet, how much they affected each other. Both have changed a lot during these months. It's finally evident who are the bad people and who the genuine ones.

There are some heartbroken moments, some very erotic scenes and just like the previous book, there aren't many dark ones. The story gets better and better.

First Debt (Indebted #2) by Pepper Winters

“You say I’ll never own you. If I win—you willingly give me that right. You sign not only the debt agreement, but another—one that makes me your master until your last breath is taken. You do that, and I’ll give you this.”

Nila Weaver’s family is indebted. Stolen, taken, and bound not by monsters but by an agreement written over six hundred years ago, she has no way out.

She belongs to Jethro as much as she denies it.

Jethro Hawk’s patience is running out. His inheritance gift tests, challenges, and surprises him—and not in good ways. He hasn’t leashed her but he thinks he might’ve found a way to bind her forever.

Debts are mounting. Payment waiting.

                                                      My opinion:
It was time for Jethro to go after Nila, and when he caught her he was going to own her. Nila knew it was a matter of time to get caught by him but she wasn't going to give up. Her ultimate goal was to kill the Hawks and she had to find a way to use Jethro to succeed that. He had her for one day and he felt like she owned him with her attitude and her bravery. She made him feel things he should never have. Nila had succeeded in getting under Jet's skin but his family was a thorn that was destroying everything. The first debt was paid and after that, her relationship with Jethro had changed. They no longer could contain the newfound desire, but they kept it a secret for both their sakes. What hurt Nila most was when she found out who was the man behind the nickname Kite007.

I liked this more than the previous book, it has fewer abuse scenes and more erotic ones. It finally gives us glimpses of who our main characters truly are. Jethro is a very attractive man whose style and attitude screams power and control. He appears as a cold-hearted monster but he is the opposite. Nila is a pretty girl who used to be "weak" and workaholic but she is much more. Sometimes she is naive, coy, fearful, smart, proud... As Jethro said she had more personalities than a Picasso painting. I have to say that I start to fall in love with the story and I can't wait to see how things will evolve between Jet and Nila.

Debt Inheritance (Indebted #1) by Pepper Winters

“I own you. I have the piece of paper to prove it. It’s undeniable and unbreakable. You belong to me until you’ve paid off your debts.”

Nila Weaver’s family is indebted. Being the first born daughter, her life is forfeit to the first born son of the Hawks to pay for sins of ancestors past. The dark ages might have come and gone, but debts never leave. She has no choice in the matter.

She is no longer free.

Jethro Hawk receives Nila as an inheritance present on his twenty-ninth birthday. Her life is his until she’s paid off a debt that’s centuries old. He can do what he likes with her—nothing is out of bounds—she has to obey.

There are no rules. Only payments.

                                                               My opinion:
Jethro's Hawk family owned the Weaver family. At his twenty-ninth birthday, he got a "pet" as a gift, Nila. One mistake of her family 600 years ago sold her life to him.  Nila was a fashion designer. At the end of her biggest fashion show a man, Jethro, appeared with her father, who wanted to take her. His cold demeanour was scaring her but she didn't have a choice, she had to go. At first, she thought she could flirt and satisfy her needs, later she found out what a real monster he was and that her life would change for the worst. From the very first day her nightmare began. Rape, beating and humiliation... She had to be strong, she had to find a way to get out of this situation. Her one chance at surviving was to make Jethro care, make him feel. Jethro loved to hunt, so when he saw how stubborn she was he made a negotiation with her: She could run to escape but if he caught her she would pay.

It's one of the darkest stories I have ever read. There were many times that I felt sick reading it and wanted to stop but I had to find out what happened next and what was the debt about. This book is like a rollercoaster that never stops. Definitely not for the faint-hearted or for those who love romance novels. I appreciate the warning of how dark it gets.

Road to Nowhere (Road to Nowhere #1) by M. Robinson

I once read that every warrior hoped an honorable death would find him. I always went looking for mine, but not even the Reaper wanted me.
I was trained to kill. I was trained to not ask why. To take orders and just march in line. Hooah motherfucker.
Life or death.
Ride or die.
And I’m not only talking about the military. I’m talking about the life that led me on the road to nowhere.
My life.
I fought for my brothers.
I fought for my family.
I fought for my country.
And I fought for her…

Never realising I might die for them too.

                                                        My opinion:

Creed Jameson belonged to the Devil's Rejects MC, one of the most feared clubs, which was run by his dad. His life wasn't easy because he was bred to be the next in line, since the age of eleven. At the age of seventeen, he made the biggest mistake of his life and every day he was paying for it. Six months after that he met a little girl, Mia, a true spitfire. It was the first time he laughed with his heart. Creed turned out to be Mia's first boy crush. He was pushing her away because he knew that she shouldn't be close to a bad person like him. A few years later he became the VP of the club, this was the beginning of his fall, he became a different person, with no remorse. When the last good person he had in his life died he decided to join the army, so he can do something good. No matter how hard he tried to keep little Pippin away she always found her way back to him. When he decided to go after her things had changed a lot.

About the characters:
Mia was a very smart girl, a true spitfire with a potty mouth.
Her parents were overprotective, they never allowed her to do anything, which led her to do a big mistake in an early age.

Creed was born and raised in a dangerous world which was dictated by his monster father. Deep down he was a good man with values but his temper made him do something he regretted for the rest of his life. Because of his dad and his stupid rules, Creed lost every good person he had in his life. There is so much drama following Creed's actions and later Mia's.

If you like biker stories with lots of drama, explicit love scenes and a few funny and romantic moments then you will love this book. What I liked most was that the story takes place in the present and continues to the future. Also that from the beginning we have information about the main characters and about the MC life. I noticed that this book has many similarities with the El Diablo. The only bad thing is that it ends with a cliffhanger.

My Italian Beast (Part One) by Marian Tee

I had always been okay at being boring and ordinary, of always doing the right thing and playing it safe. But when Marcus Ravelli came to live with us that one summer, the wildly sensual and dangerously handsome Italian bad boy made me yearn for the impossible. And everything changed.

Fast forward nine years later, and Marcus and I were about to meet again. I convinced myself that I would be able to handle it. But I was wrong. I still ended up acting like a docile little lamb in his presence, still ended up saying yes to his every suggestion---

No matter how foolish or dangerous.

No matter if it involved marriage.

I thought I understood how things were between us. I thought that because he was my friend, he knew better than to hurt me again.

But I was wrong about this, too.

So, so wrong.

                                                             My opinion:
Marcus and Anneke met when he went to spent the summer in their house. She was thrilled by him since the moment she set eyes on him. She wanted to stay away from him so she wouldn't embarrass herself with her awkwardness but he was always after her. What Anneke found strange was that he desperately wanted to be her friend. They tried but failed, they both wanted more than a simple friendship. They soon started playing some very dangerous and exciting games that ended abruptly. 9 years later Marcus' grandmother died and left him with a huge problem. If he wanted to continue to run his business he had to get married. The first person he thought was his "friend" Anneke, the one woman he could never forget. Everything happened so fast. The best day of her life turned into a nightmare.

This book has everything that was promised. Some very graphic sizzling hot scenes, some funny and sweet moments, heartbreak and a very painful cliffhanger. Marcus appears to be a playboy just like every other male character, but we mostly see him trying to woo Anneke. He is persistent, charming and wields power. Anneke is a smart genuine girl with good manners who most people found her boring and unattractive. I liked how the story evolved, and even though I hated Marcus in the end of this book I'm sure I will fall in love with him in the next.

The Billionaire's offer book 1,2,3 by Ella London

Twenty-one-year-old Alyssa Maxwell is living a life she never wanted—stuck in a claustrophobic town, working a dead-end job.

Until the night that Luke Rockford comes into the diner and changes everything.

Gorgeous, rich, and demanding beyond all reason, Luke takes an immediate interest in Alyssa. He wants to see more of her…much more than a small-town girl should ever show a man she doesn’t even know.

But when Alyssa finds out the truth about Luke Rockford and why he’s really in town, her tiny, simple existence will be blown apart. And now she could lose everything she has and more…finding herself signed, sealed and delivered to the billionaire.

                                                      My opinion:

Signed To The Billionaire

Alyssa was living with her father on their farm. A company wanted to buy their place but her dad wasn't selling it. Her dream was to study and leave from there, but for now, she had to stay and help. Luke's company managed to buy the four from the five lands he needed to build his new resort but he had to convince the fifth one to sell as well. Which was the reason he went to Maine. There he met Alyssa, a beautiful feisty blue-eyed waitress, who she also happened to be the daughter of the man who owned the land he wanted. He gave her a very pleasurable experience but the next day everything was destroyed but the ugly truth of who he really was.

Sealed To The Billionaire

Alyssa was hurt by Luke's betrayal. She was a wreck with the news about her family's land. The desire for each other was still there after everything that happened. Luke's feelings for Alyssa made him change his mind about the resort but unfortunately, there were people who worked behind his back. For one more time, Alyssa was on her own without any money.

Delivered To The Billionaire

When Luke was threatened to lose his company and the woman he loved he realised how Bruce felt. That was when he took the best decision of his life. Bruce sold the land, Luke's company was going to build there, Alyssa was going to go to college and Luke had finally a family.
